🌸☀️Happy Mother’s Day🌸☀️

to all the moms out there but especially to my mom, who is the most fabulous florist extraordinaire and who creates the most gorgeous spaces for couples to enjoy on their big day.

A lot of times I post about getting to work with my dad, but since I don’t always work the same weddings as mom I have less opportunities to really praise her work and passion.

She is such an inspiration to me. Her hard work, her care for people, and yes…her green thumb….inspire me to be better in this career every single day.

✶ Girl you’re so classic ✶

Elizabeth and I instantly clicked, we are both Mississippi State Bulldogs, she loves San Antonio like I do, and she just has the type of personality that makes you feel at ease. When we talked wedding details I loved not only her vision of timelessness for her wedding day, but her insistence on building in time to capture it!

As her photographer, this small gesture made my job so much easier. Photographer stress can creep in on a wedding day if “photo events” aren’t moving along punctually. After all, our job is to make sure that your wedding day is memorialized so that those memories no longer just live in your head!

This is why it’s important to allow your photographer to be involved in the timeline process. For my brides, I have an entire meeting devoted on working with you and any other vendors to create a wedding day schedule that allows for enough time for flexibility, candid moments, AND capturing those classic, directed portraits that make us all swoon 😉😉

I am grateful for all my brides who trust that I am their friend and confidant and want their wedding photos to look just as perfect as they do!!

In all the hustle of wedding planning, it can be easy to forget the small things. Often though, the small things can make the biggest impact.

An example: You don’t have to spend thousands on wedding favors. Instead, you could take time to hand write a thank you card as a place setting! If your guest list is large, tackle the list a little earlier. Want the names calligrapher but don’t want to spend the money? Buy a $15 hand lettering book on Amazon!
