Clare & Kevin spent their elopement day running all over Olympic National Park: from the mossy forests, to the tide pools and beaches, and ending at a socked in Hurricane Ridge. It was a day of ever changing weather, so much laughing, and celebration of this next chapter for them 🌲

Another redwoods wedding of my dreams

Shelby & Avery, with 20 of their closest friends and family, said “I do” under the towering trees of my favorite forest. Followed by a taco truck at their Airbnb, then sunset photos on the Oregon Coast. It was windy and sunny and total perfection. We ended the day talking about Noah Kahan and Fourth Wing and ACOTAR and Throne of Glass and I felt my heart explode from feeling like “oh these are my people”

Forever thankful couples like these two from North Carolina find my little business and trust me with their day. Magic was made ✨

I’m reading a book currently where a couple from a village in England get married and it’s truly a community event. Someone does the food, another shares their dress. A small gathering where the couple is so celebrated by those in their village - literally and figuratively.

So it wasn’t a surprise that as I was reading I was immediately thinking of Maddie & Nils and their wedding day on Lopez Island that was focused around similar themes. They cooked the food for their guests, while fellow islanders manned the grills and smokers. Loved ones helped set up the food, made cakes, finished the florals; a true village effort, if you will. Hair and makeup by a bestie, a bridal bouquet made by the bride. They dished up last while their people mingled and ate and connected, with a central conversation being how special these two are and the folks they bring together.

So please enjoy a little montage of primarily fly-on-the-wall moments of one of my favorite days.

Jenna & Alex in the jungle of Tulum🦎

I knew that this day was going to be intentional and special from the very beginning - 8 of their family members joined them on their destination wedding adventure in a place full of so much culture, vibrancy, and sacredness. Ancient ruins, sacred cenotes, jaguars and monkeys, truly so much all in the thick of the Yucatán jungle. I then walked into Jenna’s cabana and was greeted by her gorgeous smile and sparkly dress and the excitement for the day continued to grow. An emotional first look, a quiet ceremony by the water, a Mayan shaman blessing, an intimate dinner as the sun went down and the full moon made an appearance — the ingredients for a truly remarkable day.

A very special shoutout to an amazing team of vendors! Will travel to Tulum time and time again to work with them any chance I get!!

A perfect reminder of how things like sunshine, wildflowers, new life, and seeing special people are a couple of things I’m so so thankful for 🤍

The final couple of hours of Hailee & Tony’s redwoods elopement consisted of green grassy cliffs above roaring waves and ooey golden sunset down on the dunes of the beach.

Camp Traina Tamashunas 🌲

I’ve sat on sharing this gallery for so long because I love it (and this day) so much that I didn’t even know where to begin. Do I just do portraits, ceremony? What about just the bridal party because looooook at her bridesmaids?? 20 slides just isn’t enough. Okay but cocktail hour / speeches are so good because you can feel the floor shaking and the absolute riot of a day it was, and don’t even get me started on the reception! So since I couldn’t decide, here’s a glimpse into bits and pieces of the most iconic Oregon-summer-camp-meets-the-Jersey-shore wedding you could ever imagine! Prepare for more because it was truly an insanely beautiful and special day and being part of it was a highlight of my summer.
