Hey-Hey!

Lots of new faces around here, thought I would do a quick introduction for the newbies here, and reintroduce myself for those who have been here for a while.

I’m Jenn.
PNW born and raised.
Wife. Mom of 3. Grammie of 2. Dog mom of 1 GIANT Doodle.
Lover of coffee & a lifelong trailblazer fan.
Grossed out by brussel sprouts & snakes.
Most comfortable in a worn pair of jeans and sweatshirt.
I enjoy watching the waves crash at the beach, and the sun set over the same waters.
My cute studio is located in Downtown Vancouver.
My passion and creative outlet is having my camera in hand. I’m a Canon girl x16 years and counting.

Intimate weddings and generational portraits.
What does that mean?
It means I want to be the historian, the storyteller and photographer for you, your family and the moments that mean the most to you. I want to capture the candid moments, the smiles, tears and the interaction that happens genuinely.

It’s not the moment they died.
It’s not the funeral.
It’s not the “I’m so sorry” texts or the casseroles dropped at your door.

It’s everything after that.

It’s the part no one warns you about—the gray space of grief.
Where the world keeps moving, but you’re suspended.
Not fully in the past. Not fully in the future.
Just… here. In between.

Where you forget what joy used to feel like.
Where smiles feel foreign and guilt creeps in if you catch yourself laughing.
Where people assume you’re “doing better” because you showed up to work or answered a text.

But inside?
You’re lost.
Not broken exactly. Just… altered.
Like a radio slightly out of tune.
Like a photo that won’t come into focus.

The gray space is quiet.
But not peaceful.
It’s the space where grief settles when the world stops watching.

And if you’re in it—
You’re not alone.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re surviving the part no one talks about.

And one day, color might return.
But for now, it’s okay to sit in the gray.

Santa is back in the Studio with JFP for ONE day only. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to hang out with the big man in red in a private family friendly studio. The trees are pretty bare, just a few leaves hanging on around here.
Don’t worry, we can still capture Fall colors- still lots of foliage and a ton of colorful leaves on the ground.

There is NOTHING like holding a brand new baby. The tiny little human, the newbie scrunch, the little squeaks and cries. And the itty-bitty clothes- am I right?

But it’s even more special when that tiny little baby is your own grandchild. This beautiful little girl belongs to my youngest daughter, and I’m over the moon to have a grandson & granddaughter now.
Grammie mode at level 100 all the time.
This is my favorite season of life, having these two tiny humans and their slobber kisses!

If you’re expecting, or know someone who is, I offer Fresh 48 sessions in hospital/birthing suite, as well as newborn sessions in the comforts of your home, or my lifestyle home-like studio.
This session was 100% in-studio- lovely & cozy!
