I used to think that the cutest newborn photos were the ones with perfectly posed babies in baskets on blankets without a wrinkle in sight. Those photos ARE adorable, but these days, I'm all about authenticity! That doesn't mean we won't get those adorable poses – it just means that we'll also use meaningful items from your home and incorporate real, authentic connections between family members to make the photos even more special. Babies in hands are a favorite of mine, especially dad's hands. I think it's because of the size of the hands compared to the baby.

It was a strange fall color season with everything filling in slower than usual and then it rained so a lot of the leaves were knocked off the trees. No matter. It never disappoints!

I started my photography business in 2005 and continued into 2013. At that time, my husband and I made the decision to switch roles and he went from being a stay at home dad to working full time and I became a full time homeschooling mom. Let me tell you, every single moment was worthwhile and I will never regret making that choice.

Social media either didn't exist or wasn't a big thing during that time, so now I'm excited that I'm able to post some of my older work that I never shared in the past.

After a 9 year hiatus, I'm back! I'm energized and excited to be able to once again give full time energy to my own personal passion, which is obviously photography. Building a new website isn't what it used to be when you could easily design everything in Photoshop, add the links in Dreamweaver and plunk it online. It's supposed to be easier, but let me tell you, it's not! 🤣
