We have very talented camera club members. Some make quilts by hand or by machine. Patti Clark lives near Colonial Williamsburg and helped make a really big one!

As our nation approaches its 250th birthday, learn about one quilt that aims to stitch together the stories, struggles, and triumphs that built America.

Members: Images for our July assignment are due on P*P by Sunday July 5th at midnight. If you haven’t taken your photos yet, get out there this holiday weekend and keep your eyes open for that shot that shows the spirit and beauty of our nation on its 250th birthday. But try to stay cool!!

Recently our club visited Macculloch Hall Historical Museum for a private tour by the museum’s curator. Originally built by the Macculloch family in 1810, the museum houses a large collection of family pieces as well as the collection of benefactor and museum founder W. Todd Parsons. The collection includes period furniture, Victorian lighting, china, important artwork including a portrait of George Washington by Norman Vincent Peele, a large collection of original Thomas Nast prints (who lived across the street), a collection of important letters, and beautiful gardens (including the 2nd oldest tree in NJ) maintained by Morristown garden club. Blue Arrow Farm was the site of our 60s photoshoot. We had a great time posing with the hippie bus in hippie clothes! So fun, but so very hot! Thank you Blue Arrow!
