Photos will be judged by David desRochers. He will judge images by three classes - beginner, intermediate and advanced.

The second day of our overnight meetup was at Longwood Gardens and we were fortunate to have a personal tour by one of the docents who was a friend of one of our members. She was kind enough to join us on her day off, to share her knowledge of the gardens. The gardens were beautiful and we are hoping to come back again, possibly during the Christmas season.

Our overnight meetup began at the Winterthur Museum & Gardens, which is the historic du Pont estate located in Delaware. Winterthur is known for its world-class collection of American decorative arts, beautiful gardens, and scenic woodland grounds. It’s a great place with endless opportunities for lovely garden and landscape shots. We ended the day with dinner at the Chadds Ford Tavern. Tomorrow we will explore Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.

Today’s meeting was a workshop using lightpads and light boxes. It was lots of fun! We experimented and learned what worked and what didn’t work so well. The club now owns two large lightpads to use in the future as we continue to explore this technique. If you attended the workshop, post a few of your favorite photos in the comment section below and/or on our open page. If you post on your Instagram account use our hashtags.
