If there is one thing that I continue to learn about myself over the years no matter how hard I try to change it, I can’t! And as I continue to grow I’ve learned to lean into who I am exactly the way I am what matters the most to me.
I’m not a surface level kind of gal. This is something I have struggled with in my photography business; In a world that feels so rushed where convenience takes priority over presence and where waiting until and wanting to “look perfect” comes in between you capturing those memories that will last forever when they are frozen in time.
I want those moment to not be ones of perfection but real, raw beauty. I want to spend time with your family and capture all the different dynamics and personality’s not just the perfectly posed with matching outfits look. Don’t get me wrong those are beautiful too but let’s be honest those shots don’t often capture who you are. In striking the perfect pose we miss the chaos, the realness, the raw moments that make you and your family you.
I want to capture The Joy In The Chaos, the everyday mundane things you all experience together. The favorite rocks or doll collections, the slow Saturday mornings where you all are finally able to sit down enjoy your coffee and have breakfast together after a long week, maybe it’s crockpot dinners in the trunk of the car or on the tailgate of the truck after a game against the rival team because even though those days are long and chaotic THOSE are the moments you will remember. Maybe it’s the family game night or movie nights all piled in bed together but you’re not actually watching the movie because you’re all talking and laughing together! That JOY that’s what I want to capture.
So while you’re busy living life if you’d like me to capture your Joy in the chaos give me a call or text, so we can chat, brainstorm and figure out when and where I can come over for those everyday moments that one day you’ll look back on and say these are the best days of my life I’m so glad I have this picture.
