So, with Adobe still not changing their TOS to be not so blatant about stealing our Intellectual and Copyrighted Property, which App are you checking out? I've bought On1, and C orel PaintShop and am also looking at Affinity ( which is now half price to lure folks from Adobe)
There are lots of options, but if you rely on LR for both asset management and editing, I've not yet found one app that does both as well as LR does.
But I'm willing to settle for fewer features along with less theft and disrespect from Adobe.
Their recent ads which encourage people to "Skip the Photoshoot" and use AI to create images - in other words, "Don't hire a photographer" - is a huge slap in the face for all the photographers who in the past embraced the Adobe tools in their workflow. Now Adobe is publicly trying to put the photographers out of business.
It's time to find a different method.
Yes, some Adobe employees and apologists have attempted to clarify and tone down what the TOS intends to allow Adobe to do, but until the TOS is actually changed, those posts, comments, assertions, and promises and just words, while that TOS we all had to agree to last week is still binding and Adobe is still doing what they wan to do. They have the power, but if enough of us abandon that platform, other platforms will grow better and faster to fill the few voids the other apps have.
There are lots of lists on-line of alternatives - here is one on GitHub:
