When planning your branding session, I like to think about our shots as “pillars” so to speak, with sub pillars under each. Every branding session is unique and planned with intention to highlight you and your business. Some shoots are simple, others may be complex with a lot of moving parts. Together, we can work together to get a variety of photos that can be used in various ways. Communication and sharing your vision is key!
Prepping for your branding session is so important. The planning phase is a very important part of the process! Things to think about:
- What’s my need for photos? New business, rebrand, milestone/celebratory event, new staff, new products/services, or just need an updated refresh?
- How do I plan on using my photos? Website, social media, print marketing materials, etc.?
- What content and information do I want to share to my audience?
- What type of shots do I need? (Products, physical space, headshots, detail shots, bts, working in action, etc.)
- Do we need “models” to act as clients?
- Location? Time of year? Indoor vs outdoor? Outfits?
- What content do I have planned in the coming weeks/months? Can I create any photos around my already-planned content?
These are just a few things to think about when thinking about your branding shoot! Going into it with a vision, a plan, and specific shots is very beneficial. However, some things creatively will come to us and some ideas come on the fly while shooting! No matter how prepared (or unprepared) you might be, I’m here to help along the way!! I’ll meet you where you’re at and take things one step at a time so we can be sure to meet your goals for your photoshoot.
