What an incredible weekend at the studio for the Pulp & Press Lit Arts Fest!
I had the absolute pleasure of hosting children’s author Suzanne Jacobs Lipshaw. If you haven’t seen her work yet, you are missing out on some local magic. My own granddaughter loved reading I Campaigned for Ice Cream, and when she started Mighty Mahi, she was so excited to recognize the name Jacob from the first book! It’s those little connections that make Suzanne’s stories so engaging.
From the true story of a boy’s quest for ice cream trucks to the science-filled wonders of The Super Volcano, her books are as educational as they are heart-centered. Did you stop by and meet Suzanne? Tell me your favorite book discovery from the fest in the comments!

The creative energy was high this past Saturday during the Pulp & Press Lit Arts Fest! I had the absolute joy of hosting the wonderful Vicky Lorencen, author of the hilariously gross and endlessly fun The Big Book of Barf. 🤢

Let’s make annual portraits a tradition again.
I’ve had a few questions lately about the new Birthday Portrait Club, and I realized I might have buried the most important detail: I’ve designed this to be accessible for everyone. I know life is busy and professional portraits can sometimes feel like a "someday" luxury. But birthdays don't wait! My goal with this partnership is to make sure every Vicksburg family can have a high-end studio experience while supporting the vital work of Generous Hands.
The Details: Instead of a standard session fee, we ask for a $20 donation directly to Generous Hands. That donation unlocks your session and a gift of 4 wallets (or a 5x7) on the house.
The "Club" Menu: For those who want to build a collection, we’ve created a special menu just for this project. To keep it simple, individual sheets start at $32.50—which is about half of our standard studio pricing.
Our Promise: There is absolutely no pressure and no purchase required. Whether you just want your gift print or you’re looking to build a wall gallery, you’ll receive the same care and high-end experience we’ve been known for since 2006.
