Scenes from Sadie and Dean’s wedding in Corfu.

The whole weekend was full of joy, tradition, and community. Dean’s family is from Corfu, so they chose to get married there and spent the weekend at the venue with their closest friends. They had a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony outside the church, followed by dinner and dancing overlooking the mountains and water, and a beach brunch the next day.

A couple nights after the wedding, Sam and I were out to dinner and ran into Sadie’s family. Her mom came over to say hi and thank us, and when the waiter asked if they needed a table, she said, “No, just saying hi to friends!” It was quick and casual, and it perfectly summed up how the whole weekend felt.
