Grief is never what anyone thinks it’ll be. There is no way to expect what you will feel. There is no way to predict how the days will unfold. In these moments all we can simply do is move forward one step at a time, and sometimes that looks like snuggling into your chair and watching your favorite college football team play on television. Sometimes it looks like gathering your family up to take advantage of moments together to capture a few photos before a decade passes again.
Honored to be brought into their sacred space on a day such as this. Honored to sit with Nancy and listen to her talk about her late husband and how they built their home tucked away in the woods. Thank you for trusting me 🫶🏼
