WHAT DO YALL KNOW ABOUT CUTTING OUT HUNDREDS OF FOAM CIRCLES AND SHELL SHOCK???? 👀👀👀
HAPPY 12th Anniversary To Najestic Entertainment and Crew!!!!! Check out our beginning when it was just me, my friend Anthony, an insanely talented artist came aboard and then there was 2!!!
This particular tail I started making Sept of 2013 which is why I chose this day as the anniversary day. Although the blue tail was the one to start my mermaid fame, there were soooooooooooo many issues and mistakes we made with this tail. I was running through money to create this tail to the point my family started to tell me how stupid I was to continue trying. I struggled in silence for months trying to make this tail presentable enough to be featured in photos and on film. As I was posting what I was doing people began to show interest so naturally I couldn’t stop, but I need more brain power which is where Anthony came in. When I tell you Anthony brought SO MUCH TO THE TABLE this man basically brought the table lol. We started brainstorming together on how to make this tail cause there wasn’t a lot of information out there. We literally had to make it up as we went. 🤣😂🤣
We made so many mistakes that most people didnt catch, but there were a lot of mermaids in the community that was calling us out……here’s the list…….and DONT LAUGH AT US, WE ARE HOOD RAISED, WE DIDNT KNOW ANY BETTER 🤣🤣
-we used house slippers as a place to put your feet inside the fluke of the tail, we did not know what a monofin was
-the scales on the back of the tail was sealed upside down
-we coated the shell shock in Vaseline cause our first few pours kept sticking to the shell shock 🤭 we will realize later that the Vaseline would cause the silicone to dry with a very gummy texture
-we painted the tail with oil base paint and realized it wasn’t slicking so we rinsed it off dried it and painted with a water base paint and thinner which managed for a few shoots but eventually started peeling badly.
