Growing a whole human is kind of a big deal… and deserves to be documented!

If you need a few reasons not to skip maternity photos:

• You’ll never regret celebrating this season, even if you didn’t always feel your best (hello heartburn I’m talking to you!).
• Your baby (and older siblings) will one day get to see just how loved they were before they ever arrived.

And the answer is always absolutely yes 🤍

As beautiful as those sleepy solo baby portraits are, the connection between your growing family is what makes these moments truly meaningful. Tiny hands wrapped around yours, proud big siblings sneaking in kisses, the way everyone looks at your newest love… those are the memories you’ll want to hold onto forever.

What if you never have to worry about what to wear for your photos? How amazing would that be?

One of the biggest reasons families put off booking photos is the thought of figuring out what everyone is going to wear - I hear this ALL the time! Coordinating outfits for the whole family can feel overwhelming, I get it! Finding colors that work together, making sure everyone feels comfortable, ordering pieces, returning pieces, hoping everything actually looks good together when it arrives... it’s a lot.

That’s exactly why I created my client closet 🤍 A curated collection of beautiful dresses and pieces designed to photograph beautifully and take one huge thing off your plate. I always suggest mamas picking out their outfit first, and then coordinating the rest of the family next. I provide a detailed style guide that provides tips and suggestions for getting those beautifully coordinated looks you see in my work. I’m of course always here to help with this part as well - in fact, I LOVE being part of the planning process as much as possible! My goal is for your session to feel easy and enjoyable from start to finish - because family photos should be about soaking in the moments with the people you love, not stressing over what everyone is wearing.

More of this, please! The soft spring colors, fresh blooms, those tiny little gold shoes, and a baby girl about to become a big sister - I couldn’t love this session more! I couldn’t be more excited for this sweet family to welcome their second babe - any day now!

I feel like we blinked and now it’s already mid May! If your schedule is anything like mine, “Maycember” is absolutely a real thing and I’m actually wondering if June is even busier? So many good things are happening and I’m so excited for so many beautiful spring and summer shoots coming up!

There’s something so powerful about a child seeing photos of themselves displayed in their home. Not tucked away on a phone… but framed on the walls they pass every single day.

Studies have shown that children who grow up seeing family photos in the home often develop a stronger sense of belonging, confidence, and identity. It quietly tells them:

Do y’all remember “Friday Introductions” from back in the day? Like… 10+ years ago 😅 Yep, i’ve been doing this THAT long!

So if you’re new here, welcome! I’m Shawna. Mama, baby whisperer, and occasional toddler wrangler (my fave). But I’m not just the girl behind the camera… I’m a mom who knows how fast it all goes.

I actually started this business before my girls were even born—photographing everything from weddings to supplement ads. But once they came along, everything shifted in the best possible way. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about creating pretty images… it was about holding onto something I could already feel slipping by. The tiny details, the everyday moments, the version of them that would change before I was ready. I couldn’t get enough of their sweetness, and the closest thing to bottling it up forever was capturing it in photographs. As a mom of tweens, I’m here to tell you it truly does go by SO fast.

So my business leaned all the way into family photography—into motherhood, into connection, into all the little details I never wanted to forget. It’s been such an incredible journey, and one i’ve poured my heart into every step of the way 🤍

I’m truly so glad you’re here!
