The homies Vlad & Rooster. I’ll let you guess who’s who. Rooster, Vlad, & I became friends during my MTS project. One thing Rooster & I share is we like our solitude. In both cases it came from life circumstances. The exact situation that landed Rooster on the streets is what I’m sitting in right now. I keep replaying in my head why he took the route he did. He needed peace & to disconnect after it all. I can’t think about what comes next. I just know I’m glad that I have a friend like him that can actually relate to what’s going on. Again, I say make friends in the most randoms places. We’re more alike than we are different.

This is the homie Chris. I never would have expected us to cross paths in life. Yet we did & my life hasn’t been the same since. He poured himself into an opportunity of mine for months. He taught me a lot & I helped him process his journey - the trauma that came w/it. The impact didn’t hit us until we both stood in front of the final piece & the moment hit us like Tyson in the 90’s. He tells me constantly he should be dead but I’m glad this tough SOB made it. I don’t dare say he made it to him because as he says “I’m out of the woods, but I’m not out of the woods”. He survived the streets, living and almost dying in the woods, and rebuilding his life. Make friends where you least expect it. You never know much you can help each other grow.
