📖 Reading Divine Direction and this part stopped me in my tracks.

The word repentance isn’t just about feeling bad, it literally means to stop, change course, and return to God’s path.

Moses in Exodus 18 was doing good work… God’s work… but he was exhausted, overwhelmed, and wearing himself thin trying to carry everything alone. And Jethro had the courage to tell him the truth:
“What you are doing is not good. You will only wear yourself out.”

Sometimes the problem isn’t sin.
Sometimes it’s direction.
Sometimes it’s the pace.
Sometimes it’s refusing to stop long enough to reconsider a better way.

That line hit me:
Your decisions today both big and small determine the direction your life will take tomorrow.

Maybe stopping isn’t quitting.
Maybe stopping is wisdom.
Maybe stopping is obedience.

Lord, help us pause long enough to hear You… and brave enough to change course when You say so. 🙏

Jeremiah 35:1–11 is such a quiet but powerful reminder.

God tells Jeremiah to offer wine to the Rechabites. They refuse, not because wine is sinful, but because they were committed to obeying a command their father gave them generations ago.

And that’s the point.

They stayed faithful to a human instruction for centuries, while God’s own people repeatedly ignored His voice.

No excuses.
No “times have changed.”
No bending under pressure.

They obeyed even when it would’ve been easier not to.

This passage asks a hard question:
If they could honor a father’s word with that kind of consistency… how much more should we honor God’s?

Faithfulness isn’t loud.
It’s steady.
It’s consistent.
It shows up even when no one is watching.

Lord, help us live obedient lives not just hear Your Word, but honor it. 🙏

Mark 16:9–19 is such a powerful reminder of who Jesus uses.

After the resurrection, Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene first, a woman once broken, once dismissed, yet chosen to carry the greatest news in history. She tells the disciples… and they DON’T believe her.

Then He appears to others. Still disbelief.

When Jesus finally appears to the Eleven, He doesn’t walk away. He corrects them, restores them, and then commissions them.

That part gets me.

Even after doubt.
Even after fear.
Even after unbelief.

Jesus says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.”

The mission didn’t change because their faith wavered. Grace met them where they were and sent them forward.

If you’ve ever felt disqualified because you struggled to believe, this passage is for you.

The resurrected Jesus still calls imperfect people to carry a perfect message.

📊 Did you know nearly 63% of Americans still identify as Christian?

That’s almost 2 out of every 3 people in this country.

Yet if you scroll social media, you’d think believers were some tiny, quiet group hiding in the corner. We’re not. We’re just not always loud about it.

Even more interesting…
Most people who don’t claim Christianity still believe in God, still pray, still believe in heaven. This nation hasn’t lost its faith, it’s just been told to keep it private.

But I refuse to.

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9

I’m not ashamed of the Gospel.
I’m not embarrassed to say His name.
And I won’t pretend my faith is something I have to hide.

If you love Jesus, let it be known. ❤️✝️
The world needs more light, not more silence.
