I will most often toss on a zoom when I’m hanging with friends to give me a little more room for composition. But sometimes I like to test myself and see what I can come up with when I have just one fixed prime.

This time I took my 50mm f/1.2 out for some baseball, buddies and chicken wrangling, and I came back with a few gems. Nothing like using your feet to zoom and the risk of a potential wiffle ball straight to the dome. Overall….worth it.

Some days there's nothing you need more than just getting in your truck and taking a drive.

A lot of people I know skip right past California's Central Valley...but I'd argue that there's no better place for warm summer nights.
