But believe me when I say... I'm not worried about your kids. Capturing beauty in the chaos is kind of the whole point. 🀎

And believe it or not, I've often printed the β€œworst” photo to proudly display on the wall, even when the perfectly posed photo is sitting right there in the gallery too.

Because just like parenting, the moment itself can feel like chaos. But looking back? You get to remember, laugh, and reminisce about the raw, real beauty of this season.

So, let go of your fears and the idea that its only worth capturing if its perfect. Trust me that if *you* have a good attitude, it will all come together beautifully.

If you know of Waco Area (TX) Locals Love Us, you probably know the man behind it... the amazing Matt Blackwell. But, you may not know the beautiful family behind the man. 🀎

I got to spend an afternoon with the Blackwell's last week to capture their family photos, then joined Matt & Sarah last night for a little date-night third-wheeling for their gallery reveal. We not only reflected on what this season of life represents for them as we flipped through their photos, but also reminisced on so much of what got them here.

The Blackwells are such a wonderful family, and their heart for supporting local small businesses here in Waco makes this session even more special. Getting to serve the people who pour so much into our community is something I never take for granted. 🫢🏼

For my first rep class last year, we skipped a fall session… and honestly, I regretted it SO much.

Because it feels like a crime NOT to let the reps experience the absolute best place to be during fall in Central Texas. πŸŽƒ

I need to apologize...

to the long list of clients I have told to do "the dip".

I said *out loud* at our session "WOW THIS IS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT".

At which time my sweet friend Isabel behind the camera and her boyfriend Corey (who have done approximately 25 couples session with me over the years) started laughing hysterically and getting their revenge by making us do "all the same crap" I've prompted them to do over the years.

Listen, it's ALWAYS worth it for the photo, but I am glad for the learning opportunity to go through the other side of it once and a while :P

I promise I will make it as easy and fun as possible, but you might feel awkward for a like a second -- 'til you get your amazing photos back and agree it was SO worth it
