The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued its latest severe weather outlook, and here’s what you need to know!

🟢 MINNESOTA: No organized severe thunderstorm risk is currently highlighted for our state today.

🌧️ A few showers are possible across portions of central Minnesota this afternoon and evening, but widespread severe weather is not expected.

🍂 BOTTOM LINE FOR MINNESOTA: We’re looking at a relatively quiet day in the severe weather department!

As always, we’ll continue monitoring the weather and keep you updated if anything changes!

🥶❄️ FREEZE WATCH ISSUED FOR PARTS OF MINNESOTA! ❄️🥶

Mother Nature is reminding us that winter is right around the corner! 🍂

A Freeze Watch means temperatures could drop to 32°F or below, creating conditions that may damage or kill sensitive plants and any remaining outdoor vegetation.

🌱 A few things to keep in mind:

* Bring potted plants indoors.
* Cover or protect any sensitive outdoor plants.
* Gardeners, it’s time to keep an eye on those temperatures!

⚠️ Remember: A Freeze Watch means freezing conditions are possible, but not yet certain. If confidence increases, it may be upgraded to a Freeze Warning.

🌌💚 NORTHERN LIGHTS ALERT — MINNESOTA! 💜🌌

Minnesota skywatchers, keep your eyes on the skies tonight! 👀✨

We have another opportunity to catch the Aurora Borealis tonight, Saturday, October 10th!

☀️ NOAA is forecasting increased geomagnetic activity as energy from the Sun interacts with Earth’s magnetic field. A G2 (moderate) geomagnetic storm is possible this weekend, which could allow the northern lights to reach farther south than usual!

📍 Where? Northern Minnesota has a better chance, but portions of central Minnesota could potentially catch some color if activity strengthens enough!

🌌 Tips for spotting the lights:
💚 Find a dark location away from city lights.
💜 Look toward the northern horizon.
📸 Use your phone’s night mode or a camera with longer exposure.
☁️ Clear skies are a must!

⚠️ Remember, auroras are unpredictable! Just because conditions look promising doesn’t guarantee a show. Sometimes Mother Nature likes to keep us guessing. 😂

We have a pretty nice fall day ahead of us, Minnesota! 🍂

🌤️ Today’s Forecast:
Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds across Central Minnesota, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid-60s. Winds will be fairly light, making for a pleasant fall afternoon!

🌡️ Highs: Low to upper 60s across much of Central Minnesota.

🌙 Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping into the 40s.

🌧️ Rain Chances: Staying mostly dry today, with little to no precipitation expected across Central Minnesota.

☀️ Looking Ahead:
Mother Nature apparently hasn’t checked the calendar because we’re heading for another warm-up! 😂

Friday brings temperatures into the upper 60s and lower 70s, but Saturday is the real surprise! Some areas of Central Minnesota could climb into the LOW TO MID-80s! Yes, you read that right… 80s in OCTOBER! 🍁☀️

Enjoy the sunshine, the fall colors, and this little taste of summer while it lasts! Cooler temperatures are expected to return early next week.

We’re looking at a pretty nice fall day across central Minnesota! 🍂

☀️ Mostly sunny skies
🌡️ Highs generally in the mid to upper 60s, with some spots around 70°
💨 Winds will pick up through the day, with gusts around 20–25 mph
🌙 Tonight: Mostly clear and cooler, with temperatures falling into the low to mid 40s

No rain to worry about today — just sunshine, a little wind, and some good ol’ Minnesota fall weather. 🍁

And enjoy it… because Saturday is looking oddly warm for October, with some areas possibly pushing well into the 70s! 👀

☀️ TUESDAY FORECAST | OCTOBER 6TH

Minnesota is getting another little taste of summer today! 🍂☀️

🌡️ Highs will climb well into the 70s across much of the state, with some western areas flirting with 80° — roughly 10–20° warmer than normal for this time of year.

💨 Expect a bit of a breeze as winds shift from the south to the northwest later today. Central Minnesota can expect highs generally in the mid to upper 70s, with mostly sunny skies.

🌙 Tonight will be mostly clear and cooler, with temperatures dropping back into the 40s across much of central Minnesota.

Overall — warm, mostly sunny and dry! Definitely not feeling very October-ish out there today. 😂🍁

Enjoy it while it lasts! A cooler, breezier day moves in Wednesday, although temperatures will still remain above normal for early October.
