Throwback to 2011.

I was building my photography business using a popular app called Picnik. (Think Instagram filters before there was an Instagram) 😬😬😬

I was terrified of Photoshop and it was very pricey. Picnik was free.

Within 2 years of being an official business, I got the dreaded email that my editing software was closing down.

What was I going to do?!? I had sessions booked with paying clients?

Starting a business is a scary adventure. Sometimes, the right time doesn’t align with your life and you have to put it on the back burner.

Choosing to re-ignite that fire that burns inside of you during a time when most women are looking forward to seeing the retirement train in view, is a very brave step. She has done it all with grace and a lot of sweat.

Chrissy has made some sacrifices and adjustments to get her bakery business going over the last few years.

She turned her little corner in a residential neighborhood into a commercial kitchen and rentable venue.

I have watched her hustle and stretch herself to build this business. She is always learning and always growing…from bakery goods to delivered lunches to amazing coffee and catering. She does it all.

She is making a legacy for her family and running a business on her own terms.

The very first time I met this guy, he was OBSESSED with trains. He would line them up on the back bumper of the family suburban. Unfortunately that is one gallery I think I lost when my external hard drive died.

If you want a fun way to reach some goals in 2026, try my Vision Board Bingo! It's free and it comes with a guide.

I did one in 2025 for a Vision Board workshop with the Wagoner Area Chamber of Commerce. I managed to get 22/25 things accomplished! I did NOT accomplish planting two containers of veggies. 😕 David and I did NOT take an improv class together, but we are doing one next week...so I will count it as a win for 2026.

It will print out in an 8.5x11 format, so it's easy to tuck into your planner or add card stock and put it on the wall where you will see it often.

We had to reschedule Cydnee's session due to massive amounts of rain and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day on the reschedule! Mother Nature likes to play games and make it difficult especially when we have to plan for on location hair and makeup. It takes a lot of patience and a little bit of madness. HA!
