Long overdue... meet the woman behind so many of the beautiful faces you've seen in my work.

This is Christine of Christine Monique Beauty, and we've been working together behind the scenes for the past year.

She trained in the heart of Hollywood, California, learning from some of the film industry's top makeup artists. Since then, she's worked on feature films, campaigns, photoshoots, weddings, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and just about everything in between. Now she has her own studio in Lincoln, where she offers makeup, hair, and esthetician services.

Beyond her incredible talent, she's one of those people who instantly puts clients at ease. Whether you're convinced you're "not photogenic" or you've never had professional hair and makeup before, Christine has a way of making the whole experience feel effortless.

Things I did not have on my bingo card:
Photographing tattooed realtors for a special edition of Real Producers.

Turns out, the people negotiating inspections by day also have some pretty incredible ink.

This assignment completely scratched my creative itch. Moody light, black & white, bold personalities, and a new playground—The Nook in the Haymarket.

Moral of the story? Never judge a realtor by their business card.

You don't need to smile to be powerful.
Sometimes strength looks quiet.
Sometimes it looks weathered.
Sometimes it wears a lion on its arm.
Black and white has a way of stripping away the distractions and leaving only what matters: presence, confidence, and the story written into a person's face.

This is why I'll never get tired of creating portraits like these.

She's an incredible realtor, a savvy business owner, and she understands that being the face of your brand isn't about ego—it's about connection.
I'm still surprised how often I research a business and can't find a single photo of the person behind it. Plenty of reviews. A nice logo. A polished website. But... who am I actually hiring?
Maybe it's just me, but I want to see the person I'm trusting with one of my biggest decisions. A face builds confidence in a way a logo never will.
If you're the heart behind your business, don't hide behind your brand.
Let people meet you before they ever pick up the phone.

Not every photoshoot ends up framed on a wall.

Sometimes the goal is simply this: a whole library of great content that keeps your social media looking fresh for months.
We'll spend a little time planning beforehand (and if coming up with content ideas isn't your thing, that's absolutely my thing 😉), then dedicate a day to creating a ton of authentic, on-brand images—all while having way more fun than you probably expect.

If your camera roll is full of screenshots and random iPhone photos, it might be time for a content day.
Let's create enough content that future-you will be grateful.

Building a business with your spouse deserves more than a cropped wedding photo on your website.

You two are the brand. The conversations, the trust, the personalities behind the logo—that's what people connect with.
I love photographing husband-and-wife teams because the chemistry is already there. My job is simply to capture it in a way that feels authentic (and maybe make you laugh a little along the way).

It's the confidence that makes this portrait of Matt so great. The fact that he showed up willing to trust the process—and absolutely nailed it.
And I swear - I try to figure out which celebrity my clients resemble. And in this case, I think If Dennis Quaid ever needs a stand-in, we found him.

But guys... you deserve great portraits too.
