Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mama’s out there! Motherhood is wonderful, exhausting, hard, fun, joyful, painful. So many emotions all wrapped up together. There’s nothing like bringing a new baby in the world and I’m just glad I can capture these moments.

I haven’t really done much posing with newborns lately. I’m trying to more lifestyle and natural posing but yesterday I decided to do some “light” posing and I’m kinda in love with this! Tips to finding the right photographer for you.
1. Do you like their style? Are they a photographer who likes posing, or do they create more candid images. Do you like how they edit their photos? Are their images light and airy, or more dark and moody. Or true to life
2. Go to their website or Instagram and check out their images and style. See if that fits your style.
3. Cost. Find out their prices and will that fit into your budget.
4. Do you like them. Go to their social media page and engage with them. Would you actually like hanging out with them. 😬 You don’t have to be best friends but it helps to know you actually like their personality.

I don’t post many b&w I noticed. I guess I really love color but every now and then a image is beautiful in b&w. Speaking of b&w I don’t know about you guys but I could use a little color and sun! Go away rain! 🤣😩

One question I get asked a lot is what do I need to bring to my newborn session. Answer: Not much. If you have a white onesie that’s great because we can start photographing in the onesie then do some in a swaddle. I also take some images in a diaper. I like to keep it very simple. And trust me your baby will thank me. 🥰 Oh and I have plenty of onesies and swaddles. I also have lots of pretty head wraps for little girls. 🎀 if I come to your home to do the session I bring all these things with me. So see I gotcha covered! Oh swipe right to see some adorable baby feet. Because we all love some baby toes!

You’d never know she was freezing. 🤣 There’s something about the beauty of a woman growing another human being. defines that. I’m so happy for this sweet couple. One of the things that comes along with being a newborn photographer is getting to know my clients on a more personal level. I love hearing the stories of all things pregnancy and delivery.

This story was one of those that makes my heart happy. Jamie waited quite sometime to old this precious little one in her arms. Something about a mother’s love. More to come from this session!
