This October, I’m celebrating 15 years of capturing life’s precious moments.
I’ll be sharing a mix of recent work and blasts from the past. It’s been an privilege to witness families grow and evolve over the years.
Braeden, one of my earliest young clients, returned for senior portraits, and it’s heartwarming to see how far he’s come! ❤️✨

Remember December "winter" when we were just begging for snowy pines to frame the back of our smiling family holiday cards? Swipe to see the winter wonderland I'm getting to observe every time I step away from my screens this week.
Beautiful, heavy and just a slightly bit destructive... I will be reminding my clients of this storm all next fall when they're aching for snow.
Happy hearts and a good report, thats all you need for an ideal Holiday Card. xo

Let me show you how gorgeous life can look on a regular Tuesday night in the kitchen making pasta.

Working out of sweet Minneapolis this week and feeling grateful for all my small business clients in this city. Let me introduce you to the lovely sound healer Donette Ambrosy of
Head over to her page to hear the soundtrack I was blessed with while shooting this portrait session.

Is anyone else feeling particularly blurry lately?

Life is moving really fast, and it hit me (like a ton of bricks) this past week that I haven’t updated this instagram of my professional photography in 3 years! Maybe you thought I stopped shooting, for awhile I thought I stopped shooting; but in reality I just got too dizzy.

The pandemic really did a number on me, I know none of us want to relive that time, so instead I would like to analyze life since the world reopened. We’ve been moving so fast, distracted by priorities of growth in an effort to compensate for the time that we lost together/training/networking/selling/saving/graduating/grieving/healing. We were moving so fast and I couldn’t keep up-didn’t want to keep up.

I spent the last year stripping a lot of comforts, habits & cultural expectations from my life.
It started with an adventure,
then an existential crisis,
then a job change,
a move home,
a sisters wedding,
and some serious time with my self.
Since August I have been in a pattern of rebuilding up from scratch. I have been humbled, exhausted, inspired, hopeless, and beloved this year. I am grateful for the patience of my friends and clients as I stepped out of the dizzy and found my pace. Thank you.

Now for some fun.
I’ve been looking through all the photos I didn’t share over the last three years and boy oh boy is it life-giving to get to capture your smiles. You’re going to see some oldies but goodies in the next few weeks as I walk myself down memory lane. To start things off with a bang - here are some terribly blurry film snaps from a wedding in New Zealand last year (Happy Anniversary Emma & Chrisso 🥂). Minolta 35mm with some yummy film found in the back of a refrigerator. (Thanks Miche!)

Today blurry is reminding me that its safe and okay to SLOW DOWN.
