A lot of clients ask when the best time to take newborn photos is. I prefer to photograph babies when they're between 2-3 weeks old. They tend to be past their initial cluster-feeding phase and can usually handle a little more milk during their feeding. It tends to result in babies that can sleep for 2-3 hours at a time. That said, don't wait until they're a week old to book!! If you want to guarantee a session date, it's best to reach out 1-3 months before your due date. Because newborn sessions are a bit time-sensitive, waiting until they're born to book might mean missing this precious milestone.
