In the most serendipitous of stories, my husband and I were out to dinner celebrating our anniversary laughing about how when we don’t have our kids we somehow end up either talking about them or being in the presence of other people’s kids. 😂 I mean that’s how it goes right??

We sat next to this lovely couple in a shared table who had their very cute daughter with them. We sparked up a conversation and laughed about how we were out to dinner for our anniversary & them being divorce attorneys. 😂 I mean what are the chances but it gave us all a good giggle. I’m happy to report that we don’t need their services 😜 but man, they are some of the SWEETEST people and would happily refer them.

They learned I was a photographer, they asked for my contact info and months later I received an email from Karen asking me to photograph their family and do some headshots for their office! I never saw that coming! I had so much fun hanging with this crew at their BEAUTIFUL property & feel so lucky to have met them on that October 26th!

Likely one of my favorite Grad sessions to date. It’s not often I get men who willingly get in front of my camera but I certainly welcome it. It is completely different guiding men behind my camera & it’s an artistic challenge I gladly take on. I learned so much during this session alone and came into this session completely blind. I confirmed once again that shooting in new places is the jelly to my jam!

Congratulations to all the 2026 Graduates & especially this guy right here who will be graduating from in May!!! Si Se Puede! Felicidades! 🎉

I know its been an eternity since I’ve been on here but I’m really in the phase of life (and I know this is going to sound really cheesy) but I literally do not want to miss a thing. I love where we are in life right now. My kids now have real likes & passions (LOTS of sports around here) & I’m enjoying watching them grow, love being there for them and being their greatest cheerleader.

At the beginning of growing my business & growing this page, I never really “missed” much. I was still there at every game and every pick up and drop off but I wasn’t very present. If I’m being honest. I was never really present & it is a regret that while I was making a dream a reality, it was also at the expense of why this all started in the first place.

Over the last two years I’ve reclaimed my health again and I’ve reprioritized my time with the people who mean the most to me in this life. I’m still working like a maniac and I’m still in love with creating memories for my clients but feeling in control of when that happens has given me back so much power. Working from a full cup (and heart) is what has helped me produce some of my favorite work yet.

That being said, I am working out some scheduling kinks and waiting on some decisions that could very well alter my availability for Fall Family sessions this year. My plan is to have a schedule out for booking by mid June at the LATEST. If you’re on my mailing list, you’ll never miss out on when those dates are released!

I’ve lost track of how far behind I am on sharing all the work I’ve been doing over these last couple of months while heavily mommying all the things all at once. It’s the home milestone sessions like this one that really make me pause and slow down to enjoy those same moments with my own children. I feel these years slipping through my fingers and I find myself wanting to slow down the hands of time.

From Feb-April we have 4 family birthdays and I can finally breathe but this year I really wanted to soak it all in. Be more present & intentional with my time. I’m realizing more and more that we are on borrowed time and I’m not willing to sacrifice any more of those precious moments.

Happy Birthday Reesie-girl! I hope you had the most magical 1st bday. You certainly had your cake & ate it too! 😉🎂

A few weeks back I spent a day in studio with some power houses ready to take their brands and professions to the next level. I loved hearing about their stories, getting to know each person who stood before me and tapping into their personality so I could capture not just beautiful headshots of them but images that also reflect who they are at the core.

Playing with light has lit a deep creative fire. 🔥
It has allowed me to see the possibilities of my imagination & has freed me from the intimidation of learning some new and HARD.
I’m open to all the possibilities.
But I’m mostly proud of myself for leaning into the uncomfortable.
The uncomfortable is where we grow.
