Call me a lucky duck because I got to photograph these two, twice, in just 12 days!!! Once for their engagement and then again spontaneously again for their city hall elopement. Celebrating their love in a city they love and cherish. While I won’t be the photographer at their big wedding in the Philippines, I feel lucky to have documented this chapter for them here, in Boston, as a fellow Bostonian. Javier and I feel incredibly lucky that our paths crossed with yours and wouldn’t change a single thing about any part of any of it. How’s a girl to choose what to post when each image is a banger - are the exact words I said to Sophie and Jake today. It’s fairly rare that the later half of a wedding speaks more to me than the first half. I think it’s mostly because my options of what cameras, lenses, film stocks, etc. become more and more limited with inevitable decrease of natural light. A challenge I’ve been navigating for a while as a film only photographer. But I feel confident in saying that I believe I’ve cracked the code. Sophie and Jake’s wedding has made me fall back in love with reception formalities, dance floors, and spontaneous night time activities- like jumping in the pool of course. I’m beyond proud of this work and hope that you all love it every bit as much as I do ❤️

Miranda and Richmond reached out to me in May with a very special request: they wanted to finally take the wedding photos they’d always dreamed about but never got because of Covid.
I said say less, let’s do this.
To put it simply I will forever and always be in love with them and their photos. Do I have a soft spot in my heart for dumplings, and colorful flowers, and tiramisu?… yes - but just know that Miranda and Richmond are absolute babes and I’m so glad that they finally got to celebrate their marriage in style and have photos forever to remember it by 💛 happy 5th anniversary.
