Today marks Four years full-time for Flash Me Photography. ✨

When I picked up a camera it wasn’t to start a business, it wasn’t even it photograph people. It was an outlet my husband thought would help me out of my depression. After having brain surgery & struggling with severe pain. Unable to do basic things, work, shower without help & lots more things for over 2 years. He bought me my first camera he knew the love I’d always had for taking photos & wanted to help me.
What happened when I first picked up that camera, was something I never expected & it’s something I will never take for granted. At the age of 31 I finally knew what I was put on this earth to do, preserve people’s memories. I lost my mom when I was very young, she was not only my mom but my best friend. She took photos of everything & because of that I am able to reminisce of all the wonderful memories with her. My hope is that I can provide this to all my couples.
To couples who trusted me with one of the most emotional & beautiful days of your life, thank you. You let me into your stories, your families, your happy tears, and your quiet in-between moments. That trust is never lost on me.
To my clients who became friends, you’re stuck with me now.
To the photographers who became my people, thank you for the chats, pep talks, and “is this normal?” texts. This job can be hard & having you makes a difference.
I still get that rush right before a ceremony starts. I still tear up during first looks. I still feel ridiculously lucky that this is my real life. Four years all-in. Nine years building something from the ground up. More memories than I can count. More gratitude than I can put into words
If you’ve supported me, referred me, hired me, or even just liked a photo, thank you. You’re ALL apart of my story.
Here’s to love stories, dance floor magic & many more years of doing what I love with people I adore.
Huge shoutout to my husband, without him we wouldn’t be here & my family & unwavering support.
