I just want to take a second to say THANK YOU. Seriously, from the bottom of my heart. 🤍
Between photographing sessions every day, editing galleries, renovating the new studio, getting inventory ready for the store, preparing for our grand opening (LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY 😅), and being a mom to five kids… y’all, I am RUNNING on caffeine, coffee, and an absolutely questionable amount of sleep.
Behind the scenes has been a little chaotic, to say the least. The laundry is multiplying, my house is fighting for its life, inventory is everywhere, and I’m pretty sure my washing machine is going to breakdown after this laundry marathon.
I’m taking today to catch up on a little mom life and attempt to make my house look like actual humans live here instead of a tornado with a retail inventory problem. I’m hoping to get back to editing tonight!
For those of you waiting on your galleries, THANK YOU for being so patient with me. I promise I’m working hard behind the scenes. I’m incredibly picky about my work, and I put so much time and care into every single image. If there’s a stray hair, a little detail that needs fixing, or something I know I can make just a little better, I’m going to take the time to do it. That’s just the artist in me, for better or worse. 😂
And about this new studio and store… I want it to be SO much more than just a place to shop or have your pictures taken. I want people to walk through those doors and feel the light. I want them to feel welcomed, inspired, loved, and reminded of the good things in life. And when they leave, I want them to carry a little bit of that light with them.
There is SO much thought, intention, and love going into this space that you probably won’t even see at first glance. I’m constantly thinking of new ideas, little details, and unique things I can bring to the space. Even when I finally lay down at night after editing for hours, my brain is still going a million miles an hour thinking about what else I can do to make this place special. Apparently, my brain didn’t get the memo that bedtime is for SLEEPING. I genuinely want to bring something unique and different to Wabash. Something with heart. Something that feels like us. I want this to be a space that makes people feel something, and I cannot WAIT for you all to see what I’ve been dreaming up behind the scenes.
And I HAVE to give a huge shoutout to my amazing husband, who has been working so hard alongside me to bring this dream to life. Also, to our good friend who’s been helping us tackle this project, my parents (dads building my custom retail counter!🫶🏼) and to my kids, who have been dragged along for this wild ride but are actually LOVING being part of it. This has truly been a family effort, and I couldn’t do it without them. There’s been a whole lot of hard work, long days, and probably a few moments where we’ve all questioned our sanity, but we’re doing it together, and that makes it even more special.
Some days feel overwhelming, and some nights are VERY long, but I keep reminding myself that this season won’t last forever. God didn’t bring me this far to leave me here, and I know all of this hard work is going to be worth it.
To everyone who has booked a session, shared a post, supported this dream, encouraged me, or simply been patient with me while I juggle approximately 47 things at once, THANK YOU. You are the reason I get to do what I love, and I will never take that for granted.
Now, if you need me, I’ll be somewhere between a pile of laundry, a half-finished renovation, 17 unfinished to-do lists, and my 47th cup of coffee. Send help. 😬
