Who I am as a person is inseparable from how I run my business. My photography is grounded in humanity — in seeing people fully, treating them with dignity, and telling their stories with care. I believe in social justice, and this informs how I move through the world and the choices I make.
I believe that immigrants make America stronger.
I believe Black Lives Matter.
I believe in evidence-based science and public health.
I believe in bodily autonomy.
I believe in reproductive freedom.
I believe LGBT+ rights are human rights.
I believe in protecting the safety and dignity of marginalized people.
I absolutely oppose and condemn the harmful and cruel actions of the Trump administration — way too many things to list here — but what prompted me to make this post is watching what is playing out in Minnesota with ICE.
I watched a mom get shot in the face.
I watched masked men with guns take a five-year-old child.
I watched them force an elderly man out of his home wearing nothing but underwear in subzero temperatures.
I’ve seen the long list of names of all of those that have died in ICE detention centers.
While I regularly speak out about all of this stuff on my personal account, it felt inauthentic to not say anything here.
If you’re interested in working with me, you should know who I am and what I stand for. If you support ICE or Trump, I am not the photographer for you.
