Over the past few months I’ve been building something unique around this idea: Art of all kinds - involving sight, sound, movement, etc. can and WILL make our work better if we study it. This doesn’t work just by inspiration alone (although that is incredibly valuable!), but by deconstructing the elements that make it strong and then applying it to our own work. I can’t wait to share more! It’s getting SO CLOSE 😍🙌🏻😜.

In my facebook group, I asked everyone to share their favorite season to shoot in - the answers were so fun to read, and I was surprised that each season was represented! (Poor winter usually gets no love 😆). Not surprisingly, my favorite is spring because it’s hard to beat those blooms, but my next favorite is the end of summer when the grass is dying and fading. Ugh, those colors are just SO good. Fall is fun too, but the oranges can get overpowering very quickly. I love teaching how to harness the power of those gorgeous leaves in your photos, without almost the entire surface area of your image being bright orange! It involves color theory ;). There is a way to capture each season with gorgeous results. My “Get the Glow” course covers all this and LOT more :).

In July of 2025 I am hosting my next retreat and I’m thrilled! I wish I could put into words the love, care, creativity and FUN that will surround those who attend. This theme is centered around not just flowers (although there WILL BE FLOWERS 😍), but also serenity and creativity. I’d love you to join me!

Urban locations can still be light, airy, and vibrant - if you know how to shoot strategically! I teach photographers how the human eye works, and how it ties in to the elements of art and design, and the results are pure magic 🤩. This image is an oldie but a goodie; I use it to teach form and perspective. Photography is an interesting thing. For decades it was a niche career, and now we have cameras everywhere. Even if you aren’t a photographer by trade, you probably take PLENTY of photos with your phone. In a way, life has turned us all into photographers. I’m so glad we have this way to remember life!
