Our hearts are broken as we share that my dear mother-in-law, Christa Hendricks (“Gigi” to my boys — Brayden, 6½ years old, Grayson, 4 years old, and baby Declan, 4 months old) passed away on Tuesday, September 9th, after bravely fighting ALS over the past year and a half. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family. We miss her so much and always will, but we are grateful for the time we had with her and the memories we will hold close forever.
Many of you may remember Christa — she was the smiling, gentle helper at several of my events over the years, including my Santa Experience and my Motherhood Event. She absolutely loved meeting your families and was always the first to jump in with whatever was needed. Whether it was feeding babies, changing diapers, offering snacks, or helping little ones feel comfortable before photos, Christa was there with a warm smile and open heart. She was willing to do anything to make sure your children felt safe, happy, and ready.
Her personality was exactly as so many of you saw it — kind, generous, patient, and deeply devoted to her family and friends. She radiated joy, had a contagious laugh, and was known for making everyone feel welcome. She poured that same love into her own children and grandchildren as she did into the many families she met at my studio events.
We will miss her dearly, but I know her kindness touched many of you as well, and her presence will always be part of these special memories. ❤️
