In honor of my brother and so many other friends and family, I need your help. This is for my Master’s Degree Thesis/Project. I am looking for 10-20 pastors (or preachers, head elders, or head leaders of a church) in Rural Appalachia to complete questionnaires for me. Denomination does not matter, but the pastor (or other head leader) must identify as Christian. Their names and church names WILL NOT be shared (I’ll give them a form acknowledging this promise), and only their answers will be calculated in my study. Regardless of their answers/results, they will receive *FREE* assessments, materials, plans, and programs for themselves (pastors/leaders) AND their church congregation to help with emotional health/intelligence and spiritual health. I was doing research for a paper I am writing on Spiritual Discernment and came upon a page I had marked “Panta ta Ethne,” one of the eGroups (online Bible study small group) I have led over the years. I was immediately flooded with memories of discussions we had, tears we shed, and love we shared. God has blessed me with friends all around the world in my walk in life, but this group was so special. They were not afraid to ask the hard questions. They were not afraid to be challenged, in fact they embraced it! In a two year period, the group saw students from over 25 countries. All of those different cultures and ethnicities but we were after the same goal: God’s heart. They were the first to call me Mama Jess, a name that has stuck with me over the years. They were God’s children, college-aged students, embarking out into an influential world, yet they made a point to set aside 1-2 hours each week to come together and renew their faith. If you were in one of my “Panta ta Ethne” eGroups, I would love to hear from you and what your life looks like now. I know some countries were not allowed to have Facebook, so I’ll post on other platforms as well. I also know the photos below only have a handful of you in them, but they were all I could find. Feel free to tag anyone you may know. I hope you know how proud I am of you and how much I love you 🤟🏻❤️
