Hey all!
We know we’re in the final stretch of the semester, but we wanted to offer a few fun activities just before finals!
We want to host a print swap followed by a movie screening of one of our favorites, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Our print swap may run like a white elephant exchange, where everyone receives a random print made by someone else who submitted work. No matter what, everyone will leave with a few photographs made by their peers!
Check the link in our bio for information on how to participate in this print swap - please submit a few of your favorite images, either from this semester, or whenever!
We will be providing ALL paper and resources and will be printing your works, so all you have to do is submit some photos you want others to enjoy!
We will post further information on the event space in the near future.
DM us with any questions!

👻 LOCATION UPDATE! 👻
Due to potential rain, our Hallow-Zine sale will be held on the first floor of the University Student Center.

Our table will run from 3.30-5.00. If you can’t make it to our in-person sales, we do have online options in our bio.

We also hope to have another sale before the end of the 2022-2023 year, but don’t wait to get some copies!

Hope to see you around!

We know it’s finals season, but we have something for you!
As the Eddie Adams Workshop deadline approaches, we want students to feel like they have a better grasp on what opportunities may lie ahead. If you have any questions/interest before applying to this workshop, come chat with our GW alumni! The Eddie Adams Workshop has accepted and hosted a multitude of our GW students in both undergraduate and graduate levels - and you could be next.

We will be meeting tomorrow in the Smith Hall of Art from 6-7.30 pm in the backroom of the darkroom lab on the 2nd floor. See you there!

Please join me in welcoming the new co-presidents of GWU NPPA, Danielle Towers and Emmy Numann. Below you find statements from the both of them! Danielle and Emmy are looking for two people to join their executive board as Secretary and Treasurer. These positions require the student to be a National NPPA member. If interested, please email [email protected]. Deadline for Interest is March 12, 2022 5pm. Congratulations to Emmy and Danielle!

Emmy’s Statement: My name is Emmy Numann, and I am a second-year student double-majoring in photojournalism and anthropology. By taking on this co-presidency role, I hope to aid GWNPPA by fundraising for photo students in need of financial assistance and bridging gaps within communities across the Corcoran. Together, Danielle and I want to provide our classmates with resources and events to thrive in their professional careers and develop sustainable relationships with our peers and make the most of our time at GW.

Danielle’s Statement :Hey guys! My name is Danielle Towers and I am so excited to be co-president of the GW NPPA chapter next year. My goals for the chapter involve creating a NPPA book club, hosting more professional / social events, and to make the resources of the school and this chapter more easily accessible to students. Ultimately, this chapter is a space where the photo community can connect and become closer with each other through our shared passion. I can't wait for what's to come.
