Koh Lanta is easily one of the calmest islands weā€™ve been to, and weā€™ve been to quite a few around Thailand. Thereā€™s no real party scene here, just long, quiet beaches and a slower pace thatā€™s hard not to enjoy. Getting here is simple too, we came from Ao Nang by shared minivan, but you can also come via Krabi Airport. It feels a bit more local, a bit less rushed, and thatā€™s exactly what makes it stand out šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

A Phi Phi day trip is one of those experiences that feels like a full highlight reel. Lagoons, beaches, snorkeling, and constant views the entire time. Starting from Ao Nang, itā€™s an easy trip to organise and definitely one worth doing šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

Snorkeling around the Phi Phi Islands was a highlight. Clear water, loads of fish, and plenty of spots where you can just jump in and explore. It adds another layer to the trip beyond just the views šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

The day trip setup is really convenient. Booking in Ao Nang, transport, stops, and even lunch are all included, so you donā€™t really need to think about anything once youā€™re on the boat. It makes it an easy way to see some of Thailandā€™s best islands šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

Thereā€™s a reason Maya Beach became so well known after the movie. The setting is just naturally dramatic, with cliffs closing in around the bay and bright blue water stretching out in front of you. Itā€™s one of those places that actually matches the expectations šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

Pileh Lagoon was easily one of my favourite stops. The water is so calm and surrounded by cliffs that it almost feels like a natural swimming pool. Itā€™s the kind of place you just want to stay longer, even though the tour keeps moving šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­

The longtail and speedboat trips out to Phi Phi are a big part of the experience. Leaving Ao Nang early, you get to see the coastline slowly disappear as you head towards the islands. By the time you reach places like Pileh Lagoon, it already feels like youā€™ve travelled somewhere completely different šŸ‡¹šŸ‡­
