This year, I hiked 500 miles from France to Santiago de Compostela. Converted a Sprinter van into a camper by hand without having ever used a power tool before, totally alone. And then watched it go viral on a famous tiny-living channel. Tries to catch any 90s rock band still touring today. More of a traveler, rarely a tourist. Rescues elderly special needs doggos. Piercing scars and numerous tattoos remain from a youth lived punkishly. Once lived abroad in Greece photographing restaurants and vacation villas. Worked on a crew in Reno all summer for a keynote Burning Man build. Modeled for artists, schools and photographers. Would rather live in a cabin in the woods, but also, these days it’s 100% “New York or Nowhere”. I’m both tough as nails and a tender-hearted introvert all at the same damn time. I cry reading Mary Oliver.
What does this have to do with luxury weddings, you might ask ?
Absolutely nothing. Those facts have everything to do with me, and only me.
What I bring to the world of luxury events is not the low-lit cocktail bar outing or my stylish outfit posted up on Stories. I do have a strong taste for all of those things, and of course have a creator’s passion for all art, craftsmanship, and design. And yes, for a good happy hour.
I bring an adventurer’s spirit, the curious eye of a traveler, and a deep desire to appreciate all wonderful people in this world, regardless of how much or how little we have in common (and usually, it’s ALWAYS more than we ever first assume). I bring a backpacker’s grit and tenacity. I am never rattled or thrown off by surprises or difficulty. I am endlessly curious and forever in awe of this world and the human experience. That’s what I live to document. What’s why I do what I do.
That’s who you’re hiring. And that’s who is preserving your story.
