9/11 - Never Forget 🌃🇺🇸

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the horrifying attacks on September 11th, 2001. I was only six years old at that time, and while I hadn’t fully processed the gravity of what unfolded, I knew that something very serious happened that day. It was a day the world changed forever, the horrifying shock that something like this happened, and the grief that followed, as friends, loved ones, and first responders were lost. It was also a time we were all united showing resilience amidst this tragedy, and vowing to always honor and remember the thousands of lives that were lost that day.

Last night was my first time photographing the Tribute in Light memorial in New York, honoring the victims of this tragedy, and it was great meeting and shooting alongside with Paul Thacker Jaya Vemuri Photography Kirit Prajapati l New York Photographer Boubah Michael Xie Yu Shi | New York

Well that was quite the storm yesterday wasn’t it? ⚡️⚡️

Severe thunderstorms rocked the DMV last night, with 60-70mph winds and downpour knocking out power throughout the area, including mine. After the rain and wind died down, the sky was constantly flashing with lightning, so I decided to go out and try to catch some of the show.

It was great running into Gordon Lau Sam, who braved the elements and were rewarded with some crazy lighting bolts they saw!

Sea of Sunflower🌻

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sunflower field this vast before. The place was chock full of flowers that stretched to the horizon like a carpet of serene summer warmth. The view also looked magnificent with the drone, where you could really sense the scale of this field with its rolling hills of endless flowers

Chasing the heavens at the edge of the world 🌅

The first half of my trip was spent on the Balearic Island of Mallorca, off the coast of Spain.  There I was driving around scouting out spots to shoot the solar eclipse, and photograph some of the beautiful coastlines.  One early morning, I drove out to Cap de Formentor, where the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range meets the Mediterranean Sea, to catch sunrise.  The scenery was already gorgeous as the morning light painted the landscape gold, but the real highlight came when the sun rose behind a patch of clouds and emitted some of the most stunning sunrays I have witnessed.  This moment was truly breathtaking and really showcased the presence of God and how powerful his creation is.

La Ville Lumière (The City of Light) 🌃✨

During my Europe trip exploring Spain and Portugal, I had two long layovers in Paris, France at the start and end of the trip. This was intentional, as it allowed me to explore the city again after my last visit 12 years ago, and to fulfill my longtime cravings for French croissants and crêpes. These photos were from the second long layover which was overnight, allowing me to catch the light show at the iconic Eiffel Tower. At 1am, the usual golden lights switched to blinking white lights, dazzling the city below for five minutes until the lights went off for the night. After enduring the hot, humid weather of Spain and Portugal, it was a nice relief relaxing and gazing at the Eiffel Tower’s grandness on a breezy cool night!
