Mary and Will on their snow globe wedding day - but I have to tell you a story first.
The night before, Mary’s brother in laws shared a song they wrote for her — not a sappy one, necessarily, but a hilarious one that perfectly depicted Mary’s zest for life and her ability to use no less than ten or twenty exclamation points in any given text, no matter the context of conversation. An apology for a slow response? Ten exclamation points. Checking in on a friend? Ten exclamation points. A compliment to boot? Thirty exclamation points. She is always jazzed to simply be in the presence of her people (!!!!!). It was hilarious, teary, and so sweet to call attention to this unique and touching quality about her — she cares deeply!
Following Mary around on her wedding day and observing her interactions with Will, her family and her friends was nothing short of emotional. There were constant hugs from friends and family, always a smile as she was genuinely thrilled to be with her people and marrying “her Will”, and don’t get me started on the speeches given.
Photographing her wedding day and capturing Mary and Will as they genuinely are was so fun. “People in their element”. Genuinely thrilled to be there because what matters more than existing in a room with people who support you and want to keep showing up for you? That’s the good stuff right there.
