Field notes from Jomvu, Mombasa 🇰🇪
While photographing for , I had the opportunity to document actress and ocean advocate Kate Walsh as she visited a local fishing community whose livelihood depends on shrimp, crab, catfish, and the surrounding coastal ecosystem.
What stayed with me was the community’s vision for what could come next: a proper landing site, stronger infrastructure, and more opportunities for local commerce.
Grateful to the OCEANA team for bringing me onto this assignment, and to the people of Jomvu for welcoming me and allowing me to share a small part of their story.
