What better way to celebrate 27 than to share some photos from my last trip to Hawaii, my favorite place in the entire world. 🌺

This morning, I’ve been reflecting on just how far this little business has taken me.

I got my first “big girl” camera on my 16th birthday, August 23, 2015. It definitely wasn’t my introduction to taking pictures, but looking back, I think that’s when KFP unofficially began.

16 yr old me, taking pictures of her sister and her dog in her grandparents backyard, would be absolutely shocked to see what 27 yr old me gets to do with a camera today.

I’ve never really known what to consider KFP’s “birthday,” but I think I’ve finally decided. Today marks 11 yrs of the little dream that started with that camera. 6 of those yrs of being a wedding photographer.🥹🤍

I’m so incredibly thankful for this business, but even more so, I’m thankful for YOU guys.

I started this business young and have been completely self taught along the way. I’m far from the perfect business owner, and I’m always learning, growing, and trying to do better. But I’m so grateful for every single person who has trusted me, supported me, booked with me, shared my work, recommended me, and continued to come back to me over the years.

You’re not just supporting a business. You’re supporting a girl who had a dream at 16 and somehow gets to live it every single day. And I hope you always know just how much that means to me. 🤍

So cheers to 27, to 11 years of my dream for KFP, to the places this camera has taken me, to every person who has trusted me to capture their memories, and to many, MANY more years of this little dream. 🥂🎉

Jessi + Richard flew from Oregon to get married at her mom's BnB in Harper's Ferry. The ceremony took place right up the road at Storer College. Everything about this day was absolutely perfect, and so intimate! The suit, the florals, the colors, location, and having friends marrying them... 100/10✨

I have witnessed a lot of people get married and a lot of people in love, obviously. But Jessi + Richard's love story is one I'll never forget. Everyone was moved to tears during their ceremony. You could FEEL how much they loved one another, truly. 💞💌✨

Yesterday was wedding day for a couple I hold SO near and dear to my heart!!! 🥹💐🐾

I’ve known Dakota since I met his family at a shoot back in 2021, and then Abby joined the family a few years later. She quickly became my go to nail girl, and ever since I met her, they’ve continued to come to me for photos and allow me to document so many seasons of their lives. 🥹

Watching these two grow as a couple has been such an honor, and getting to be the one to photograph them officially becoming one yesterday? The BIGGEST honor. 🤍

I truly adore their entire family, and yesterday was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. Days like yesterday, with couples I’ve genuinely grown close with, are what make this job so, so worth it.

And of course… Boe and Rufus made the CUTEST additions to the wedding party. 🐾🥹💐

Happy first day of marriage, Dakota & Abby!!! 🥂🤍 I hope yesterday was everything you dreamed it would be and MORE. LET’S CELEBRATE THE NEWLYWEDS!!! 🥹

Western themed sessions have a special place in my heart. As much as I am a beach girly, my heart also loves the mountains.. horses, cowboy boots, cowboy hats... something just hits different about it! Montana is the dream to visit one day, but for now I'll keep using my creative little heart to make ART close to home✨

Here’s your reminder that the scenery deserves a spot in your gallery too ✨

When you’re in Carmel, skipping the drive along Highway 1 should honestly be illegal. 🤣 We drove all the way to Big Sur because it had been on my bucket list forever, and I was completely in awe the entire time.

Because when you’re traveling somewhere this beautiful, why stop at the venue?! Give me the cliffs, the coastline, the winding roads, the little in-between moments, and ALL the adventure. 🌊⛰️

Your gallery should feel like more than just photos of what happened. It should take you right back to how the entire place felt.

And yes… the adrenaline of driving on the edge of cliffs at times definitely added to the experience. 🤣✨

Halee and Michaela were SO much fun to work with- truly could photograph them allll day long! Frolicking through a field of wildflowers with the mountains as the backdrop? It doesn’t get much better than that.

Cameron + Alec are SO fun... we had a blast exploring Baltimore for their session. There are so many photos I love from this session, so it's not the last time you'll be seeing them on your feed!
