The Everglades is unlike any other place on Earth: a vast river of grass where every element plays a vital role in keeping the ecosystem in balance. This documentary tells the story of the people working to restore this extraordinary landscape, including wildlife rehabilitators, environmental scientists, members of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians, and more.

Featuring South Florida’s New World Symphony performing Umoja by Grammy Award–winning composer Valerie Coleman, the film is a celebration of resilience, restoration, and the power of collective action.

We’re truly proud to be recognized for helping bring this important story to life and for shining a spotlight on the people working every day to protect and restore this extraordinary ecosystem.

We’re excited to announce the nationwide release of The Everglades: A Symphony of Life on PBS! 🌿🎶

The Everglades is unlike any other place on Earth—a vast river of grass alive with beauty and resilience. Like a symphony, the Everglades ecosystem depends on every element moving in balance—when one part falls out of tune, the entire ecosystem feels the impact. Through sweeping cinematography, evocative orchestral music, and the voices of those who live and work there, this documentary tells the story of how people are working to restore this system so the whole system can thrive. Meet wildlife rehabilitators, environmental scientists, fishing captains, invasive species specialists, and members of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians, all playing a vital role in restoring balance to this fragile ecosystem.

Featuring South Florida’s world-class New World Symphony performing Umoja by Grammy Award–winning composer Valerie Coleman, the film serves as a reminder of the positive impact that humans can have and that the Everglades—and our natural spaces—are worth fighting for, now and for generations to come.
