I have decided to take on the amazing challenge of not just running the NYC Marathon this year, but doing so with purpose. I have signed up for the Team Life Without Lupus, an illness which has deeply affected our family, as my sister was diagnosed with this disease when she was 11 years old. I've also had a childhood friend afflicted with the same disease, several clients and family members of dear friends. It's amazing how many people it affects.

I would love if you would be willing to donate towards this amazing cause. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and will go directly to lupus research and patient services. Tax ID # 13-3060086

Ordered some new shadow pallets and brushes to add to my makeup kit last night. The site said it could take up to 2 weeks to arrive...just got the UPS notice that it will be here on Monday!!! WHAT?!?! Woohoo!!! Just in time for next week's sessions!

I've been working like crazy this month and I haven't had a chance to do much posting. I took a few minutes tonight to edit one of my favorite recent shots - this of course is not from an actual shoot - Ellie was just helping me test lighting. I love the simple innocence of the picture. And I LOVE her huge brown eyes and ringlet curls. She is a mesmerizing little girl and captures the hearts of all she meets. I went a little editing crazy on it...which is so not my typical style, but I went with what I was feeling in the moment...what do you think?

Working in the house without AC in the summer time sure is no fun! Seems like we got hit by some sort of electric storm which has knocked out our AC and some of our larger appliances. Hope to get this rectified quickly. Til then, just looking at this as a day at the spa...sauna style ;)
