He said she was “the most beautiful angel he’d ever seen” when he was just 4 years old 🥹

K + D go all the way back to preschool but didn’t have a romantic spark until high school. After he moved to NH after middle school, they kept in touch and dated long distance. David said it was always hard leaving Katherine for the summer and their tear-filled goodbyes at the airport were tough. She was ready to say “I you” early on, but refused to say it until seeing him in person - which was easier said than done since distance and FaceTime was their life for two years!

When it was time to finally plan their wedding, Katherine mentioned her vision for bright summer vibes reminiscent of the gorgeous sunsets they see from their home. Working with these two was an absolute joy + their love for each other was my favorite thing to witness all day.

the giggling started before i even picked up my camera. 🤍

the kids were in full character from the first minute - silly, bold, completely themselves. chasing each other, throwing their heads back laughing, climbing and exploring the way kids do. and their parents? right there with them. not managing it, not redirecting it - just laughing, pulling them close, fully in it.

the p family always knows how to have fun together, and it shows in every single frame. there’s a lightness to them, an ease, like joy is just their natural state. watching it unfold is genuinely one of my favorite things i get to do.

that’s the story i want to tell for your family every time - the loud, joyful, beautifully chaotic truth of you all together.

and when i get to connect with your kids in a way that inspires them to create art too? that’s just the icing on the cake. ;)

mom + dad 🥹

when these high school sweethearts had the most epic wedding a few years ago, i was secretly hoping they’d invite me back for their next big milestone as a family - and j + i did not disappoint! the love between these two from over a decade together shines so beautifully every time they’re in front of my camera. ♥️

thinking about this shoot from last spring in the midst of all the gorgeous portrait sessions i’ve had so far this year. my heart is so full, and i’m reminded again why i love what i do.

Can’t believe it’s been two years since E + D’s day! They were elementary classmates in Korea and reconnected later in life; one of my favorite moments was their emotional first look that had all of us crying happy tears 🥹

Happy anniversary, you two! We pray that every year is just as joyful and filled with blessings as your wedding day 🫶🏼
