Most people think the engagement session is about getting comfortable in front of a camera.
It’s actually about getting comfortable with me.
We talk before we shoot. I ask how you met, what you’re nervous about, what you actually want to feel when you look back at your photos years from now. Those answers shape how I work with you for the rest of the time we know each other, including your wedding day.
By the time we pick up the camera, you’ve already forgotten to be nervous. Not because I did anything special. Because we just had a real conversation first.
That’s the whole point of the engagement session. The photos are a bonus.
Save this for when you’re figuring out what to look for in a photographer before your first call. The ones worth booking want to know who you are before they know what you want.
