Honestly, some senior sessions just feel effortless, and this one was one of them. Today we mixed some lacrosse photos, moments with a special little cousin celebrating kindergarten graduation, and fun shots with the best of friends. 💛

This is Audry. You might recognize her from the gorgeous session we did this past fall. Audry just recently graduated with the Washington High School Class of 2026 and plans to attend ICC before continuing on to OSF School of Nursing.

Huge congratulations to her on everything she’s accomplished so far and everything ahead. 🩺✨

Still swooning over this beautiful courthouse wedding for Branda & Blake at the local county courthouse. 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻

From the emotional first look to the intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, every part of the day felt genuine, joyful, and full of love. The soft florals, the personal touches, and the way these two look at each other made this one incredibly special to capture.

Branda and Blake are such a powerful couple together. You can truly feel the strength, loyalty, and partnership between them, and it was an honor to document the beginning of this chapter of their life.

Their small reception afterward was the perfect celebration.. relaxed, heartfelt, and filled with people who matter most.

Last night in Davenport was a good one. 📷🎶

Got to catch the album release party for Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes at The Redstone Room and the new record sounds so good live. The whole band was on fire and the room had that perfect buzz you get when everyone knows they’re seeing something special.

Also… Charlie might have the best facial expressions in the business when he’s playing.

As a photographer I appreciate a musician who gives you a full range of moments to work with. 😄

I’m sitting with a heavy feeling currently.

I found out today that Alison Hanna passed away.

I knew she was on the transplant list. I knew how serious her kidney issues were. Even with that, it doesn’t make it any easier.

I met her this summer, the day I took this photo in June. We connected right away. She had this calm, steady presence and such an open heart. We were supposed to go to dinner in November, but she ended up hospitalized and it never happened. I really thought we would get another chance.

She was so young, early 20s, and carried more depth than most people twice her age. And her voice. I remember standing there listening to her sing and thinking I could not believe that much soul could come out of someone so small. It was rich and honest and powerful without ever trying too hard. She meant every word.

It’s hard not to feel the weight of how unfair life can be. Someone that angelic, that gifted, that full of light, gone far too soon.

She wasn’t in my life long, but she made a real impact. I’m grateful I got to know her, even briefly. Grateful I got to capture this moment.

The music community lost an incredible person, and the world feels quieter without her in it.
