The Superstitions have a wild and cinematic energy that have always captivated me. Driving towards Apache Junction and seeing their legendary features and colors draw me in and I never want to leave.

Photography here never feels ordinary. It's just the vibe. The feeling. The light. The depth. The drama.

Little history lesson for you: These mountains form the eastern edge of the Salt River Valley. They were formed by volcanic activity making them stand apart from many other mountain ranges in Arizona that are composed largely of granite. This was Apache land.

In the late 19th century the range became famous for the legend of Lost Dutchman Mine, an undiscovered treasure hidden in these mountains. I love telling my kids all the spooky history and myths so they are more apt to stay close to me and not wander off too far when we are hiking.

A luxury mountain wedding at Alyeska Resort will always have my heart. Misty, moody mountains, top of the world vibes, intentional details, and couples who want their day to feel elevated but still completely real. I love documenting big Alaska weddings.

This was the kind of wedding day that never felt rushed. We took our time, and only sprinted when the sun started getting low so we could catch the last light for portraits. No one cared because the day was always about them.
