Finished editing round 2 of my Petal & Paws Photos this week and it was so hard for me to choose which highlights to share with you all so here's like 20. 😅💐🐾
But seriously, how cute are these? I love that everyone showed up with different visions for their session and I adored each of these unique human-dog bonds. 🥰
I'm so grateful I connected with Brittany at . She has created such a beautiful spot and has been so welcoming to me, my clients, and their fur babies.

Mocha's Furever Session is a reminder that anticipatory grief comes in all forms and everyone processes it differently.
The reason I offer these sessions is to not only help you through the grieving process but also not to forget to take a moment to celebrate the life your four-legged family members have had with you, no matter how long they've been part of your life. 🤍

Happy September 1st. 🥰🍂
We all know September in Michigan still tends to feel like Summer and I'm here for it but also welcoming Fall in the near future (my favorite season) with open arms. 🫶
I'm walking into the next Season incredibly honored and grateful for how beautiful of a Summer it has been for me so I wanted to share a recap of some highlights that made my summer extra special. 📷

-I was able to celebrate a baby's 1st birthday alongside her two best friends' 10th Gotcha Day. 🎂

-Photographed my first solo wedding (including a dog of course) as well as some engagement sessions and a dog-inclusive post-wedding photoshoot. 💍

-I had the honor of capturing both new and old four-legged family members and over 10 best friends whose time on Earth was nearing the end. 💛🌈

-Hosted 2 sold-out rounds of my Petal + Paws Photo Experience and made a new business friend in the process. 💐

-Traveled to Lake Michigan for a very special Furever Session. 🌅

-Celebrated my own dog, Charlie, when he turned 9 and did some of my own updated photos with my pups. 🐾
Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported me, booked with me, or sent a friend my way. Your love and support does not go unnoticed and I couldn't do this beautiful business without it. I'm so excited to see what's in store for the next few months. 🥰🍁

Trying to put the words together for how I've been feeling this week since Dolly passed and what I can think of most to sum it up is that this is becoming the year of Dolly for me. 🦋🩷
Dolly Parton has had such a profound impact on countless lives including mine. I've also had so many parallels with her lately that it's hard to ignore and I truly feel a connection to her in my own way.
I've cried every day this week, listening to and re-listening to her beautiful, and oftentimes angelic voice. She truly was one-of-a-kind and spread so much kindness and impact throughout the world.
I'll spare you all from any more of my emotional yapping and get to why I'm sharing these photos. 😅

When Frankie showed up to my 2nd round of the Paws + Petals photos earlier this month, her first words to me were "I want to do a Dolly Parton inspired photoshoot because I'm obsessed with her". Keep in mind, this was about 1 month after I decided to sign up for Dollywood's race series in September which will be my first time ever to Dollywood so I was extra excited when she said this.
These photos have become even more meaningful now to not only Frankie and her sweet pup Dallas but to me as well because we had no idea Dolly would gain her angel wings less than 1 month from when we took these photos. This was a moment to be celebrated.
Life is truly a gift. Cherish every moment and memory you get to make, especially with your fur babies. 🫶

Today I'm remembering the precious animals I've been able to meet and photograph over my years of having this business, as well as some of my own (pictured at the end).
For the families whose pets have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, your grief is 100% valid and understood. Rainbow Bridge Rememberance Day is a time to grieve but let's also take a moment to pause and celebrate the beautiful memories we've been privileged to have with our four-legged family members during their short time on Earth. Sharing just a few photos of some of the memorable pets I've captured as an End-Of-LifePetPhotographer. 🌈
I'd love to see and hear some of your memories of your special pets in the comments. 🫶🐾

Every day is National Dog Day at my house but since today is the actually holiday for it, it's an excuse for me to share pictures of me and my babies. 🥰🐾
Also, as the world is grieving the loss of a beautiful icon and light, so much more than just a talented artist, a Dolly quote about her love for animals also seemed fitting from my feed to yours. 🥺
Dolly has been one of the few celebrities I feel truly connected to and her loss hit me. May we all continue to share her legacy of kindness, love, and sparkle. 🩷

Last night was too beautiful for words. I was privileged to capture Sancho and his family at Lake Michigan as a bucket-list type session. Although this was bittersweet, as it was a Furever Session, it was such a beautiful moment for all of us. 🥺💛
I'll share more of Sancho's story when I post the photos from his session but wanted to show you all a little Behind-The-Scenes view of how perfect of a night it was for us. 🌅

OUT OF TOWN 8/21-8/23 ⛺️🌲⛱️
This weekend I will be working on a very special Furever Session on the west side of the state so my hubby and I decided to make a camping trip out of it with the dogs. I'm so excited to chase some more Lake Michigan Sunsets. 😍🌅
I will most likely not respond or be delayed in responding during this time. Thank you for your understanding and support! 🫶

If every shelter dog had the same outcome that Angela did, it would be the most beautiful thing. 🥺🩷
Angela was SO loved by Kara + Dom and I had the privilege of knowing her as Kara's faithful companion and inspiration for Angela's Treat Stash, LLC.
I also had the honor of photographing some of her final memories with her incredible humans before they had to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge last month after she courageously battled bladder cancer.
Angela didn't have the greatest start to life but with the help from her people, she had an amazing end and I hope that impact is something those who loved her dearly never forget. 🫶🐾

While photographing Terminal/End-Of-Life pets on a regular basis can be hard and oftentimes heartbreaking, it also brings me some of the most beautiful connections.
Tonight I was reminded of that when I met sweet Rosie (pictured first) and her family. Rosie is currently in Kidney Failure and her family is unsure of how long they'll get with her, but what is a sure thing is how much they love her and the bond she shares with them.
As we were walking and talking, Rosie reminded me a lot of my childhood dog Hopie, who our family sadly lost about 2 years ago. Hopie was especially connected with my Mom and our whole family loved her dearly. I even noticed that Rosie's family called her "Rosita" as a nickname and we often called Hopie "Hopita". Just a sweet similarity between the girls. My heart strings definitely felt tugged as I watched Rosie's family grieving what's to come without her by their side but I also reminisced on our girl and how much she meant to us. This was just one of the things that put a teary-eyed smile on my face after this session tonight.
So to Rosie's family and anyone else currently grieving a hard diagnosis or the loss of a pet, please know that your grief is seen and valid. While it is still felt years later, it helps to think about the good times you shared with them in their short time on Earth, just like with our Hopie. ❤️🥺
