Sometimes photography becomes more than just creating an image… sometimes it becomes storytelling.

This double exposure was created to tell a deeper story about strength, love, and the people who continue to guide us even when they’re no longer physically here.

As he stood with his arms open beneath the sunlight, I wanted it to feel bigger than just a portrait. The chain carrying the image of him and his father became the center of the story — a reminder that love, memories, and guidance never truly leave us.

To me, this image represents a son still being watched over.
A father looking down proudly at the man he’s becoming.
And a mother carrying that same pride and love every single day.

That’s what inspired this double exposure.
Not just blending two images together… but blending emotion, memory, and connection into one frame. 📸

The sky felt heavy…
not in a bad way — just full.

Full of movement.
Full of light.
Full of something you can’t quite explain, but you know you need to capture before it disappears.

Out in Syracuse, NY, the clouds rolled in like they had something to say — stretching across the city, reflecting in places most people would walk past without noticing.

So I slowed down.
Got lower.
Looked closer.

And in those small moments, the ordinary started to feel different…
like the city was showing a side of itself that only exists for a second.

Because that’s the thing about moments like this —
they don’t wait.

They pass… quietly…
unless you’re paying attention.

People watching this:
“🔥🔥🔥 This is dope!”

Me:
“…this 42 seconds took three weeks of my life.” 😭

This typography piece was for a project at Syracuse University, using audio from Friday… and let me tell you — doing this in After Effects almost took me out. 💀

Layers on layers…
Keyframes everywhere…
Fix one thing, break three others…

I swear I clicked “undo” more than anything else in this project 😂

But in the end, this is what it’s about —
turning frustration into something creative.

So yeah… it’s only 42 seconds to you…
but to me, it’s three weeks, lots of headaches, and a stronger relationship with the “save” button. 🎬😂

"Look Up"

It’s amazing how different the world looks when you slow down long enough to really see it.

Most days we’re moving too fast to notice the small details around us — the way the sky reflects in a window, the way light changes the mood of a place, or how a familiar scene can suddenly feel completely different from a new angle.

Photography reminds me to pause for those moments. To look up. To notice what was always there.

Sometimes the most interesting view is the one most people never think to see.

❄️ Early Morning at Seneca Lake ❄️

Early this morning, standing along Seneca Lake, it was 15 degrees outside — so cold it was hard to even hold my camera. My hands were numb, the air was still, and the lake was wrapped in quiet fog as the day began.

Life hasn’t been easy lately. There have been moments where everything felt heavy, uncertain, and exhausting. But standing there in the cold, pressing the shutter anyway, I was reminded of something important: my love for photography hasn’t gone away.

Even on the hardest days… even when progress feels slow… passion has a way of pulling us forward. Things are getting better.. sometimes not all at once, but one quiet step at a time.

This image isn’t just about a lake or a sunrise.
It’s about showing up.
It’s about continuing on, even when it’s uncomfortable.
And it’s about trusting that better days are ahead.

🌟 The Path You’re On Matters — and So Does Your Pace 🌟

Life has a way of throwing curves, just like the roads we travel. Sometimes the signs are clear… other times the path feels unfamiliar or even a little blurry. But every turn, every slowdown, every pause has purpose.

This image is a reminder that you don’t have to rush to your destination.
Sometimes slowing down is exactly what keeps you moving forward.
Sometimes the curve ahead shapes you more than the straight path ever could.

Take your time. Trust the road you’re on.
And remember, your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful.
