"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got" -Henry Ford
After much consideration I've decided to step back from the track photographer position at Jefferson Speedway. I've left the door open to come back and fill in on a "part time" basis, but as of right now nothing is 100% set in stone.
Simply, I've grown. When I began this journey in 2023 I lived at home with my mom, was the new guy at work and had nothing but time. Fast forward to today, I live on my own, I am taking on more at work, and I am spending more of my free time with my family and my girlfriend, Katie.
My time is spent doing normal people stuff around the house, longer days at work, weekly family game night and adventuring with my girlfriend. Last season I found it difficult to do all that plus find 8-10 hours each week to import, edit, export and post my racing photos.
Although I may not be at the track working, racing is deep rooted passion Katie and I both share! We are all systems go for Nascar at Bristol this spring, Nascar at Chicago for the 4th of July, and Indycar at Road America. On a more local scale, we have races like the Slinger Nationals, Wisconsin State Championships and Oktoberfest circled on our calendars!
As for photography, thats not a dead passion either! I've met some really cool people the past 3 years who I plan to travel with a bit, and capture their individual nights at a track. Some more behind the scenes stuff, and some really unique on track stuff, focused on that one driver.
When I'm not at the track, I want to do some outdoor RC racing! For the past few years, RC racing has been a winter hobby of mine, and I'm really looking forward to growing within that hobby. I'm also looking forward to being able to go camping!
To the whole Jefferson Speedway staff, thank you! Thank you for considering me for this role, and trusting me to capture and share the racing at your track and to share it with the world! Anyone- driver, crew, or fan, who has purchased a photo in the past 3 years, thank you! Your support was greatly appreciated!
2026 is going to be a blast and I cannot wait! See ya at the races🏁📸
