Some stories have a beautiful way of coming full circle.

I first met Ari while working at The RealReal during the 2020 pandemic. She was one of the last people I trained before I took a leap of faith and became a full-time wedding photographer. We stayed connected throughout the years, and I eventually had the honor of photographing her and Chris’s Día de los Mu***os engagement session.

So, if these two look familiar, that’s probably where you remember them from. 🖤

Ari and Chris had already officially tied the knot, but this day was about celebrating their marriage surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them along the way. From the quiet moments inside the church to the warmth and energy of their reception at Mill Rose Inn, the entire day felt like a scene from a movie.

Every part of their celebration carried its own atmosphere. The timeless mood of the church, the glow of the reception, and the personal details representing their lives together, including Chris’s career as a police officer, gave their story even more depth.

Their wedding was the perfect balance of Dark + Moody 🖤 and Light + Airy 🤍, allowing us to create a gallery that feels romantic, cinematic, and completely true to them.

From photographing their engagement session to documenting this long-awaited celebration, it has been such an honor watching their story unfold through my lens.

A day filled with family, tradition, beautiful details, and so many moments worth remembering. From getting ready that morning, to their ceremony at Holy Eucharist, to sneaking away afterward for their newlywed portraits at Sierra Azul Nursery & Garden, and finally celebrating with all of their favorite people. Angie + Elian’s wedding was such a beautiful day to be a part of. 🤍🌿

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared wedding content on here. 😅 Not because I haven’t been photographing weddings, but because I’ve been BUSY behind the scenes editing galleries, getting everything delivered to my couples, and preparing for my next wave of weddings and sessions. Somewhere in between all of that, social media definitely took a bit of a back burner.

But I have so many beautiful weddings sitting in my archives that deserve their moment, and Angie + Elian felt like the perfect couple to bring wedding content back. 🥹🤍

Looking back at their day, it’s all the little moments that get me. The excitement while getting ready, the first look with Dad and Grandpa, all the traditions throughout their ceremony, the family surrounding them, their newlywed portraits tucked away in the greenery at Sierra Azul, and then getting back to the party to celebrate the night away.

And I have to say, it’s always such a pleasure walking into a wedding day and seeing familiar vendor faces. 🤍 There’s something special about getting to work alongside people you’ve created with before, catching up, seeing everyone bring their own piece of the day together, and knowing we’re all there with the same goal: giving our couple the best experience possible.

A little look back at Wendi + Jose’s maternity session 🤍🎀🎀

I’ve had the privilege of watching these two grow through so many chapters of life together—from high school sweethearts back in the late 2000s/early 2010s not me aging us🫣🤣, to watching them get married in Guadalajara last September, and then, just a few months later, getting to photograph them as they prepared for their biggest chapter yet: becoming parents to two beautiful baby girls. 🥹🤍

We photographed this session back in May, when their girls were still tucked safely away and these two were soaking in those final months before becoming a family of four—or technically five, because big brother was already here and clearly understood the assignment. 🐶😂

Looking back at these photos now that their two little girls are here and healthy makes them feel even sweeter. The tiny outfits, ultrasound photos, little details, and excitement over two babies they hadn’t even met yet. 🎀

Wendi, you made carrying TWO babies look absolutely beautiful.

And Jose… I’ve said it before, and I stand by it: I always saw you as a girl dad. 😂🤍

I’m so happy for this little family and so grateful I got to document such a special moment in their story.

Just a mom, her two boys, and a chapter worth remembering. 🖤

When Tamara first reached out, she told me this session was long overdue. She wanted something that felt like them and reflected the chapter they’re in now. The three of them have been their own little team for years, growing together, pushing through the harder seasons, and becoming stronger along the way.

So when she told me they wanted Dark + Moody, I knew the redwoods were exactly where their story belonged. 🌲

And somewhere between exploring the forest, laughing together, and her boys giving her those little kisses on the cheek, we captured more than family photos. We captured this version of them, right here, right now.

Because those boys won’t always be this age, and one day these photographs will mean even more than they do today. 🤎

HAPPY WEDDING DAY, ERIKA + SERGIO!! 🤍🥂

Before I head out to photograph these two saying “I do” TODAY, I had to finally share a little bit from their beautiful engagement session at Filoli Gardens. 🌿✨

From the grand architecture and endless gardens to the little hidden corners throughout the estate, this location was absolutely perfect for them. We got a little bit of everything: romantic moments, editorial black and whites, dancing, laughing, laying in the grass, and of course, popping some ch*****ne. 🍾😂

And now I get to pick up my camera again and document an even bigger chapter of their story. 🥹🤍

Almost a year later, and this session still makes me smile. 🤍🌊

Last September, I had the sweetest opportunity to photograph Pam’s 70th birthday celebration at Pajaro Dunes. Family flew in to celebrate with her, they rented a home together at the Dunes, and Pam had this beautiful vision of having everyone together by the ocean at sunset, breathing in the salty air, listening to the waves, playing, dancing, and simply enjoying being together.

And that’s exactly what we did. 🥹

We photographed the whole family together, broke off into the different family groups and couples, let the kids run around and play, passed around the beach ball, and even shared a beautiful moment of prayer together. There was laughter, movement, a little chaos, and so much love.

What makes this session even more special to me is what happened afterward.

Pam took the time to leave such a thoughtful review, sharing that even her grandchildren said the photoshoot was their favorite part of their five days at the beach. 🥹 That review ended up helping other families find me who were also vacationing and staying at Pajaro Dunes.

There’s something really special about one family trusting you with their memories, then sharing their experience and unknowingly opening the door for you to photograph memories for another family. I’m incredibly grateful for that. 🤍

So, almost a year later, I’m finally giving this beautiful evening a permanent spot on my feed.

Happy very belated 70th, Pam, and thank you again to the entire Tinsley family for trusting me with such a meaningful celebration. 🌊☀️

Happy 10th Birthday to my beautiful niece, Aiva!! 🥹🫶

My little potato isn’t so little anymore. 😭 It honestly feels like just yesterday you were running around with endless energy, and now here we are celebrating your first double-digit birthday. Time has a way of flying by, and watching you grow into such a smart, kind, funny, and beautiful young girl has been one of the greatest joys.

I hope you never lose that bright smile, your big imagination, or the sweet heart that makes everyone around you love you so much. Keep dreaming big, laughing often, and always believing in yourself. There are so many incredible adventures waiting for you, and I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow into the amazing person you’re becoming.

I’m so proud to be your uncle, and I hope one day when you look back at these photos, they remind you of just how loved and celebrated you are by all of us. Here’s to making more memories, sharing more laughs, and celebrating so many more birthdays together.

Some stories aren’t measured in years...
They’re measured in the moments that change everything.

I still remember photographing Girlie and Marco standing together on top of Glacier Point, dreaming about the future that was waiting for them. Then came their wedding day, where two high school sweethearts promised forever in front of the people they love most.

And then... this.

A quiet evening by the ocean, where every smile, every touch, and every glance carried the excitement of meeting someone they hadn’t met yet, but already loved with their whole hearts.

Looking back at these photos now feels a little different.

Baby Roman has already made his grand entrance into the world, and somehow these images have become even more meaningful. They aren’t just maternity photos anymore. They’re the last pages of one chapter before the next began.

From high school sweethearts...
To husband and wife...
To Mom and Dad.

Life has a beautiful way of moving forward, but photographs have a way of letting us hold onto the moments that quietly changed everything.

Sometimes my job isn’t just taking photos... it’s keeping a secret for months. 🤍

Back in December, Jayna reached out to book a graduation session to celebrate earning her nursing degree. She wanted to make the occasion extra special, so she chose one of my favorite locations, the beautiful Villa at Montalvo Arts Center.

A few weeks later, Jonathan reached out with a completely different idea.

He wanted to plan a surprise proposal for the summer.

Instead, I suggested we make it part of Jayna’s graduation session.

She’d already be busy planning outfits, coordinating family, and celebrating one of the biggest milestones of her life. A proposal would be the last thing she’d expect.

So for months, Jonathan and I kept the secret.

The evening started exactly how Jayna imagined. We captured her graduation portraits, celebrated with family, and documented everything she had worked so hard to accomplish.

Then we made our way to the gardens.

Jonathan got down on one knee...

And in a matter of seconds, what started as a graduation session turned into the beginning of their next chapter.

One evening.
One secret.
Two unforgettable milestones.

There are sessions that challenge you creatively.

And then there are sessions that remind you why you picked up a camera in the first place.

This one was never just about creating beautiful photographs.

It was about creating a space where two people could simply exist together. A space where they could celebrate, remember, grieve, laugh, cry, and leave with something they could hold onto long after the tide had erased every footprint from the sand.

One of the greatest privileges of this job is being invited into moments that most people never see. Moments that don’t need to be explained to be understood. Moments where love says everything without a single word.

As photographers, we often talk about preserving memories.

But sometimes we’re preserving healing.

Sometimes we’re preserving resilience.

Sometimes we’re preserving hope.

Sometimes we’re simply reminding people that even after life’s hardest seasons, there is still beauty waiting on the other side.

To Mikaela + Joseph, thank you for trusting me with your story. It was an honor to witness your love and document a chapter I’ll never forget.

These are the moments that remind me photography is about so much more than taking pictures.
