Milwaukee seniors 🤍✨

Last summer, the Milwaukee skyline quickly became one of my absolute favorite backdrops for senior sessions. There is just something about that city glow, the clean architecture, and the way the light hits downtown that makes every session feel elevated and timeless.

Drew and Graces Engagement session was incredible! There is something undeniably timeless about an engagement session at the Milwaukee Public Library 🤍✨

Built in 1898, this historic landmark has been a part of Milwaukee’s story for over a century. The grand staircases, the marble details, the towering columns—it all feels romantic in the most classic, old-world way. You can feel the history the moment you step inside, and it creates the most elevated backdrop for couples who want something refined and unforgettable.

And then there was Grace… in the most stunning red dress. ❤️ Against the neutral stone, intricate architecture, and soft window light, her dress was pure magic. It stood out so beautifully, adding just the right amount of boldness to such a timeless space. The contrast of classic architecture with that pop of red felt effortlessly high-end and editorial.

Sessions like this are why I love helping my couples choose locations that reflect both elegance and personality. Historic Milwaukee charm paired with modern romance? Always a yes. 📚✨

There is just something about seniors + fresh snow + that warm, dreamy winter light that gets me every single time. ✨❄️

Tegan absolutely crushed her senior session this past weekend. It was cold (like, Wisconsin winter cold), and she was a total trooper through it all. The snowy backdrop, the glow in the sky, and her confidence in front of the camera made this session feel straight out of a dream.

One of my biggest goals with every senior is building a real connection before we ever start shooting. When you feel comfortable, you show up as you—and that’s where the magic happens. The best images always come from trust, laughter, and just having a really good time together. 🤍📸

This past weekends surprise proposal was so much fun!

Chris reached out to me with a plan: He was going to propose to his girlfriend Lexi during a Saturday Mosaic Art class in Waukesha. He told me he was going for the element of surprise! And all I can say is he NAILED it!

Lexi was so surprised and after she gave a quick "Well YEAH!" Chris immediately relaxed and knew he accomplished his mission.

Confession time 🤍

Since becoming a mom, I cry significantly more at weddings.

Everyone else sees a stunning bride in a beautiful dress — but mom and dad? They see their little girl. All grown up. The one whose hand they held on the first day of school, whose scraped knees they kissed, whose laughter once filled their home in a very different way.

The getting ready moments hit me the hardest. The quiet. The nerves. The way a mom buttons a dress with shaking hands or a dad pauses a little longer than usual before stepping out of the room. It’s sacred. It’s emotional. It’s everything.

Now that I have daughters of my own, those moments land even deeper. I can’t even begin to imagine what it will feel like 20 years from now — watching my girls get ready for one of the biggest days of their lives. And maybe that’s why I hold these moments so carefully. Why I photograph them the way I do.

Because one day, these images won’t just tell the story of a wedding day — they’ll tell the story of a childhood, a family, and a love that’s been there all along 🤍

I never realized just how powerful wall art was until this year.

Until I filled my own home with framed photographs—real moments, frozen in time, living on my walls instead of my camera roll.

Now my toddler walks through the house, pointing at the photos, telling me what she remembers from those moments.
“Mama, that was when Emery was still in your tummy.”
“That’s me being silly.”
"We went to the woods and played."

And suddenly these images aren’t just pretty—they’re storytelling. They’re memory keepers. They’re part of our everyday life.

A snowy evening wrapped in golden light and the sweetest anticipation of what’s to come. 🤍✨

This engagement session felt like a quiet pause in the middle of winter—soft snow underfoot, warm light dancing through the trees, and two people counting down the days until they say I do next month.

There’s something so special about photographing couples in this in-between season—when everything feels cozy, hopeful, and full of promise. If this session is any glimpse into their wedding day, it’s going to be heartfelt, joyful, and filled with so much love.

Wisconsin Bride Spring/Summer 2026 issue is officially out!

I attended their Masquerade Themed release party last night .and.cade and had such a blast. I had so much fun celebrating my high school friend getting published in this issue!

Molly and I have been friends since 2008 but our love of photography has kept us together far past our high school years. We even sat next to each other our senior year in our first photography class! And now look at how far we have come. We are both wedding photographers in Milwaukee ❤️

I always enjoy going to events and am always humbled by everyone's immense talent. There were so many incredible vendors all in one space last night and I was excited to meet and connect!

From the rich poinsettias to the deep green sequin gowns that shimmered like a winter night, every detail felt straight out of a Christmas dream. And don’t even get me started on their favors… the sweetest Nutcracker ornaments for every guest — a tiny keepsake from a love story that feels timeless. 🎄✨
