Last Saturday turned into such a fruitful photography day. Right after sunrise, I switched lenses and started searching for wildlife around the city, and this family completely stole my attention.

This time I couldn’t capture the moon low on the horizon. It stayed hidden behind the clouds all weekend but at least I was able to get a couple shots of this rare second full moon in a month once it got a little higher in the sky, the Blue Moon.

I got these shots Friday night and Saturday morning.

Saturday sunrise continued…

I guess I made the right choice coming to this park yesterday morning. After capturing the reflections, I only had to turn my camera to the right to capture a completely different view.

Went out early this morning to Olbrich Park hoping to catch the moonset, but clouds had other plans.

These are some moments I captured during a gloomy morning by the lake.

What if we talk about the scenery, that stillness, that calm. Just the sun doing its thing, spreading beauty all over this place. This might be my last post about Horicon… but I’m pretty sure I’ll be back soon.
